Kegels, Kegels, Kegels!

While you're urinating, squeeze to stop the flow and notice the movement you're using. (You will not want to normally do the exercises during urination, that's just a good way to locate the muscles you want to use.)This is the movement you'll want to use doing Kegel exercises. Squeeze and hold for 3 seconds, then relax for 3 seconds. Do 10-15 repetitions - work up to doing 5 minutes at a time for 3 times a day. This tones and strengthens all of the muscles in your pelvic floor region and is good for bladder control and enhanced sexual pleasure. Improvement may be noted after 2-3 weeks of regular exercise, so keep at it and good luck!

You're suffering from a form of urinary incontinence known as stress incontinence. Those who give birth vaginally are more likely to have the problem than women who deliver by cesarean section. Normally, your nerves, ligaments, and pelvic floor muscles work together to support your bladder and keep the urethra closed so urine doesn't leak out. Overstretching or injury to these areas during pregnancy or childbirth can cause them to stop functioning properly. I had this with my second pregnancy. It went away but now that I am pregnant again, it came back! I asked the doc about this and was told to pee every two hours. It eventually goes away with time.

You need to see a doctor and get this checked out. The first thing to do is start doing Kegal exercises to help strengthen your bladder muscles. When you start to pee try to stop and then start again. Once you can feel what muscles you are trying to use you can do this any time and any place. Do it several times per day. At the doc office they can check how weak your pelvic muscles are and either consider a pessary or surgery if you bladder muscles are real weak. This is not unusual for women post childbirth. I am looking at the option of using a pessary but haven't gotten that far with my treatments with my doc.

This is very common after pregnancy, call your OB/GYN there are medications they can try and if those fail they can do surgical procedure to fix it.
