A psychotic episode is related to mood. E.g., people experiencing a psychotic episode of depression may experience self-blaming delusions or hallucinations, while people experiencing a psychotic episode of mania may form grandiose delusions.

Symptoms: hallucinations, delusions, paranoia.
Remdies: antipsychotic medication, hospitalisation, therapy, group/family therapy, shock treatement.
