People always tell you to keep a food diary so you can figure out when you are the most hungry, and realize how much you eat through out the day. well what do you do after that? I know when im the most hungry,so what do i do about it?

during the time that you are most hungry try eating less. Try to change that hunger time by adding several snacks that are healthy to your diet. Such as appples, oranges, grapes, or nuts. Stay away from granola bars and things that contain high fructose corn syrup, or lots of sugar. Eat in moderation. Try drinking warm water or tea when you are hungry.

compare each day's food journal. Look for similarities and differences. You should begin now by making small cuts and or moderations to your daily routine. When you compare your diary, what do you see a lot of that can be changed? Too many carbs? High fat food? Large serving sizes? Play around with it, change it up a bit and see if you get any results. A helpful reminder though: weight loss does not occur over night. It takes time and you have to have patience!

the only time i was told to keep a food diary was when the dentist wanted to check my diet and how it was affecting my teeth!

Seriously, if you know when your most hungry frickin eat!! chew slowly so your body has time to tell when your full. Problems occur when you eat yourself to a point where you feel like your gonna explode!

If you don't know how many calories you're eating in a day, you can't increase or decrease that amount depending on what your goal is. Track your calories, get to know how many calories are in the foods and portions you eat, then you can change your diet to gain or lose.

calculate the calories in all the food you ate in your food diary
then you can learn if you're eating too much or too little
you can make adjustments from there
