Her 18-year-old only son died in an auto accident in Dec 2004. She is 51 and can't have more kids; beyond that, her husband (who was briefly her son's stepfather) really doesn't want any more children. Plus, she is estranged from her family and his family is 19 hours away. She is depressed and spends too much time thinking about her son. Any ideas to help her move on?

Every year, mid December to mid January I get sick. My asthma gets extremely bad and I have to go to the doctor. I can hardly talk and breathing becomes increasingly difficult. I try my inhaler, but it burns. The only thing that helps is a hot, steamy bathroom. It's the worse after I wake up. I feel like I'm dying. The doctor can never tell me exactly what the problem is, only that they have caught it before it becomes pneumonia. Does anyone else have a problem like this or know someone who does? I almost went to the ER today, but I began feeling a little better after a bathroom treatment.

I noticed the change in color of my hands about 2 1/2 years ago.
Friends and family say its only getting worse. My doctor ran tests on my liver and nothing came up. I feel healthy. I don't understand why my hands and feet are so yellow in color. Its scary! Can anyone help?

i have tooth that looks like the gum has pulled away from it? it bleeds a lot and i have some chest pain do i have a infection that is so bad it makes my chest hurt?? i brush 3 times a day didnt notice any problems till i ate a frozen snickers bar, felt what seemed like a cut to the gum and now its black around that tooth and like i said mild chest pain but tooth bleeds not hurting??

ok so here is the deal i was going to get a fundoplication but then they put it on hold becuse they found out i have graves diease so until my thyorid got better they would do the surgerory ive been taking medicine for it and it got worse how could this be?

I need to know if anyone out there has had anger management or therapy to control anger. Did it help? I am ready to take my kids and leave because my husband is mean to the kids. For years he has said he will get help. If he ever gets help I wonder if he will change. I think if he really wanted to change he would. (with or without therapy) He knows the kids don't love him (they tell me all the time), he knows that abused kids will treat their own kids the same way, he know they will have a higher chance of going to prison and having drug problems. But like everything else he says it;s not his fault. It's the kids fault for making him so angry (typical abuser remark) So should I give hubby a chance if he promises to get help? I really wish he would go away, He knows that we will be better off with out him.

(kids are 9,7,5,3) (he did not want the last 2 he kept saying he was going to get "snipped"- he still hasn't but I have. Also the problem was not there until 4 yrs ago

when i went out of state, to visit some family relatives, i got bitten on my calves by misquettos and that was like probably 10 years ago. i kept itching the scabs and eventually they turned into scars... the marks have been there for so long and i'm too embrassed of them, so i haven't worn any shirts/shorts in a really long time... since i was a kid. i was wondering if anyone here has any reccomendations for getting rid of my scars it would really be alot of help. thanks...

I obsess over things like movies and books, until they literally control my every thought at times. I have to sleep with the doors in my room arranged a certain way. I have an obsession with closed doors. I will close and reclose them until I hear a *Click*ing sound, and I absolutely cannot concentrate if a door is cracked open.
I don't jus obsess about small things, though. I am absolutely terrified of getting seriously ill or having an operation. I am terrified and fascinated with death, and I will mentally play out my own death, the death of a family member, or my reaction to the news that a close friend or pet is dead. I will do this several times, and I constantly worry about doing ANYTHING to put myself at risk. I constantly remind myself that I may be dead the next day.
Are these symptoms of any specific mental problem, or am I completely losing it, or am i just imagining that something is wrong?
