I'm backing Carol, above. If you eat a lot of food rich in beta carotene (the precursor to Vitamin A) you often find yellowing in the palms and soles. Not just carrots, but also other vegetables including green leafy vegetables. Especially if you juice, because you can get a lot of vitamins that way.
You used to be able to get beta carotene capsules that people used for a fake (and not very natural looking) tan in the 70s.
It's quite harmless, and is the most likely cause if your liver is normal and you're otherwise healthy.

The most common reason for the yellowing of skin is as your doctor told you, liver problems.
It can be found on the different types of hepatitis, some of which do not show abnormal liver functions. It might be best to get a referral to an internist, a specialist who could order more testing. Some viruses also have skin yellowing effects.
I had a friend whose son turned yellow by age 8 or 8 1/2. They were puzzled. All tests were normal, except the urine was yellow as well. It turned out that the boys favorite snack was carrots and he consumed them like candy. He also loved squash with anything.
Another reason for skin yellowing is aging. Antioxidants wil delay this for a while.

RE:
The skin color of my hands and feet are turning yellow.?
I noticed the change in color of my hands about 2 1/2 years ago.
Friends and family say its only getting worse. My doctor ran tests on my liver and nothing came up. I feel healthy. I don't understand why my hands and feet are so yellow in color. Its scary! Can anyone help?

Are the whites of your eyes also yellowish? If so, you may have jaundice. Although I would think that the doctor would have noticed that -- and since jaundice is a liver condition, and your tests came out OK, that's probably not it.
You might just be taking in too much beta carotene (the stuff in carrots), which could turn your skin yellow.
Maybe get a second opinion from another doctor.

Isn't yellowing skin Jaundice? Try and get a second opinion from another doctor. It's good to get checked out again until someone finds out what's wrong.
Goodluck!

I had a friend at work and she always was eatting carrots. One day I happened to notice and around her mouth and hands were orange yellow.
It looked like she had been eatting cheetos but it was from the carrots..Too much Carotene in her system...

do you drink alcohol at all? sometimes alcoholics get that skin problem, because theyre liver is under too much stress, but some people will get it from only drinking once in a great while for some reason, maybe if theyre alergic to it, or just becuase, try a different doctor or hospital if its possible
