Her 18-year-old only son died in an auto accident in Dec 2004. She is 51 and can't have more kids; beyond that, her husband (who was briefly her son's stepfather) really doesn't want any more children. Plus, she is estranged from her family and his family is 19 hours away. She is depressed and spends too much time thinking about her son. Any ideas to help her move on?

She needs some friends around her now to help keep her busy. If she could get involved in a hobby or something it would really help to ease some of the stress aand give her something to do with her time besides think. The best thing I can think of is to get her involved in something...even a support group would be good for her. There are many on line where she could talk to others who have lost children.

If she had any hobbies or interest in her life before. Check and see if there is any churches, community activity, senior citizens groups; something she might could get involved in that would keep interested.Or if she need to talk or be around people that really understands find a support group. FIND SOMETHING TO OCCUPY HER MIND; GIVE HER SOMETHING ELSE TO THINK ABOUT BESIDES HER SON!!!!!!!
