when i went out of state, to visit some family relatives, i got bitten on my calves by misquettos and that was like probably 10 years ago. i kept itching the scabs and eventually they turned into scars... the marks have been there for so long and i'm too embrassed of them, so i haven't worn any shirts/shorts in a really long time... since i was a kid. i was wondering if anyone here has any reccomendations for getting rid of my scars it would really be alot of help. thanks...

it depends on what type of scar it is. if it is a deep scar then there is little that can be done without surgery. I'm guessing because they are from pimples that they are mild scars. In that case buy some vitamin C lotion from any store. Vitamin C encourages the production of colligen and elastin in the skin. These two chemicals allow the skin to heal and look younger, and scars less prominant. hope this helped.

I had chickenpox when i was 21 years old and the scars were a nightmare. i used Contractubex, a gel for hypertrophic and keloid scars.. but i also works on small scars. The scars went away. Its terrific.

A plastic surgeon told me that cocoa butter works really well. She didn't mention how long you're supposed to use it, though. I suppose it's worth a try and just use it until you see some results.

Smaller scars like that can be removed with some over-the-counter cream like scarzone or coco butter.

As said before, mederma supposedly works really well. You can buy it at any grocery store. If that doesn't work, try vitamin E lotion and see your dermatologist.
