OMG.. I have a blood test in 3 hours!!! lol

I am soooooo terriffied of needles. My fear has reached a level that i can't control.

Last experience of a needle was horrendus. It took 4 nurses to calm me down. Then because i was in such a state, and hysterical, i was restrained by 3 of them. lol .. (this was getting a blood test) !!!!!!

So i am PETRIFIED of the having another one.

This is no exaggeration. Please don't make fun of me. I am really ashamed to be like this.

What can i do, to make it easier, and less stressful for myself?
Also i tend to hyperventilate, around needles. How can i stop this?

Please need answers urgently. Thankyou

I really don't know what's wrong with me. I don't feel like doing anything almost everyday and I always feel like crying. I feel big and fat and I feel as if I won't ever succeed in losing weight, so who cares? I'm fifteen, going on sixteen, isn't my life supposed to be exciting and crazy right now? What am I doing? Every day I wake up, I feel like I'm sinking and falling apart and the only thing in my head says 'Just get through this stupid day'. And another day passes and I say this again the next morning. Is this normal? Even my sister makes fun of me and I don't even have my studies to prove my worthiness anymore. My sister is skinny and fashionable and beside her, I feel like a lump with nothing. I don't feel that there's any meaning to life anymore. What does depression feel like? How do I get past this and become tougher? Is it ok to just have this kind of thinking when you're fifteen?

Hello, I've been off the pill now for three months after taking them for nine years. We've all heard that women have a slightly increased incidence of breast cancer when they use BC pills. But I was surprised to read that, although the risk starts to decline after you stop using them, it takes 10 years! to get them fully out of your system! Are there any long term users out there like me? I so, what are you're comments/experiences??

This is one of my biggest fears... that what if the cord to the tampon breaks for some reason and the tampon stays stuck inside... an dhow do they then take it out?

I have used them before but prefer to use towels for this reason, but I would love to know if anyone ever had a bad experience with them

Well, I have 26 now, but there have been instances when people have told me that I have it. When I was a kid I didn't have many problems in school; I got good grades all the time. Now, when I'm in class - I have to answer the questions out loud and "disturb" other classmates ... am I weird or what? HELP!

I just woke up and something is really weird. I am not uncomfortable or cold and I feel fine but my body is cool to the touch. My clothes are cool and so is my bed, it isn't warm like when you have been sleeping in it, I don't seem to have any body heat. I can't detect my heart beating either. I know I'm alive but this is just so weird. I felt fine when I went to bed and feel ok now but my body isn't giving off any heat. What is wrong with me?

I REALLY want to quit smoking - but it's the hardest struggle of my life. The gum is disgusting, zyban makes me twitch, the patch is itchy, and cold turkey turns me into a mega-*****. I just want to hear a real-life person who has had a hard time quitting and how they overcame that.

One more question for you guys. I've had these extremely dry patches coming up on the tops of my hands, only in certain areas for two or three years now. They look similar to Eczema, but they don't itch at all. They also seemingly pop up over night and start as a little red, dry, flacky spot no more than 1/4 an inch in diameter although they arent perfectly round. From that they spread in a matter of weeks and my biggest is almost an inch in diameter now--however once it gets that big it usually stops growing. They flake and look terrible and some have lasted for years, some only a few months. Ive got a new one popping up today and for some reason, they only affect areas on the tops of my hands where my digits bend, never in the nonjointed areas. Anyone have a similar condition? I showed them to my doctor but he barely even looked at them and said they were eczema (but he was to busy typing my symptoms in to WebMD so I didn't expect much from him anyway). Thanks for your help!

This is terrible bcuz I love him so much! His hair is noticibly thin on the top of his head and he blames it on dry skin but I know he's just trying to make himself feel better, since he has surplus hair on his body. He's so young and guys dont go bald at this age, which is why it is troubling me (I know that my friends laugh at him behind his back...)

He has no history of premature baldness in his family. His 70-year old dad has quite long hair in fact! Can anyone please advise me as to what steps he can take to make his hair grow back (please don't say Hair Transplant surgery because he can't afford that just yet.) Thanks

I'm thinking about starting at the gym, I have a small frame but sort of a natural build and I think with a little working out I could build some muscle.

I do not eat healthy... at all. My co-worker who is of a larger build and kills himself to look decent says that if I do not eat healthy that working out will be totally pointless.

Is he right? I would think that eating right would not affect muscle gain, I'm not trying to lose weight.
