Application of neem oil on the head is a traditional Indian method to eradicate lice, but I dont know if it is available in your place.
Another post that I came across on the net:
I'm a hairdresser and have come across head lice once or twice on my clients. I have a few suggestions that I have yet to see on the natural remedies sight. First of all you need not cut off your children's hair. If you have infestation you can get a prescription from your pediatrician for the shampoo "Quell" this should help with their hair and head. Follow the directions carefully. I know this is not a natural remedy but it seems to me you've tried everything else maybe its time you try this. Next thing you need to do is check all of your family members because you could be re infesting each other without knowing it. Also you need to put everything/ example: bedding, sheets, pillows, clothes that have recently been worn, stuffed animals, EVERYTHING into large garbage bags and tie them up for 3-5 days. This kills off all the nits and louse. If you wash things make sure its scalding hot water and a hot dryer helps too. Try the plastic bags first, Also report this to the school nurse, they need to look at all the children in the classroom. Don't be shy, head lice don't discriminate. They really don't care how much money you have or how big your house!!Good luck

Hope that helps!

Heat The hot dry air produced by standard hand-held hair dryers may suffice to kill lice and their eggs on a person's hair. Use great care if you try this method, as the heated air from these devices can also easily scald the hair and the scalp. No precise values (treatment time, temperature, and distance from hair dryer) are available with which to base an objective treatment protocol. Heated curling irons, hair straighteners or similar devices may kill some lice and eggs, but may not safely be applied to hair nearest the skin where viable eggs are most abundant. A clothes dryer set a high heat or a hot pressing iron may effectively kill any lice or their eggs on pillowcases, sheets, nightclothes, towels and similar items that will not be damaged by this process. Combs, brushes, hats and other hair accessories in contact with an infested person should be washed in hot water each day to dislodge any lice or nits.

The only way to get rid of it and it not come back is by treating your head with that Rid stuff, i think its called. You also need to buy the spray so you kill any that are on couches or anywhere else and wash your bedsheets in hot water. Mayo and other "treatments" wont work. Good Luck=)
