Health - 13 November 2006

I have a blister on my thumb in the bend of it next to the palm of my hand it is about a nickel in dia. I received it bowling in a tourney I am not sure when it formed but I didn't notice it until the end of the 9th game. It was already popped and the skin was just a flap. I wrapped it with tape once i noticed it then put a bandaid on it when i got home. Only now it is sore, it is just raw now. What should I put on it? thank you

15lbs MAX. i'd be happy with 10.
thing is, i have a really hectic schedule. i work 9am until 4, then have class from 4:30 to 10pm. on saturday i work 5-9 and sunday 12-5. when i'm not working i'm at home trying to stay awake or playing with my puppy and/or boyfriend. i really dont eat a lot. during the week i ususally just have a bagel with creamcheese around 10:30 and then a fruit & walnut salad around 2. i might have a sandwhich for dinner, or just some bread (like i said, i'm tired, to tired to eat)

on friday or saturday night, i might take home a small cheese pizza from where i work at night and eat about half of that (its a 12in pizza, so i am only eating about the size of a microwave pizza) and on saturday afternoon my bf & i go to chili's and i eat half my burger and some chips & salsa. i ususally have about 2 diet cokes thru out the day, and on sundays i usually eat half a slice of pizza or some plain pasta and thats about it for the day.

I cough a lot and only bring up a small amount of mucus. i can hear the mucus rumbling on my chest and when i sleep it makes it difficult to breath. My nose is also congested and I can only breath out of one nostril.

My friend apparently gets 5 needles a month to cure some sort of disease he has. He will not tell me what it is because he says he doesn;t want me to worry, but he says it's not going to kill him or anything, I only know of it because i asked what the bandage on his arm was and he replyed with saying it was because his needles went wrong. what could this be?

My brother is 30 and was diagnosed with diabetes a few months ago. But he's in denial about it. And as soon as his blood sugar levels are stable, he stops taking his medication.

I want to make him realise that it's better to treat the illness, but I don't want to hurt his feelings, because I understand that it's really difficult to accept a long-term illness.

i woke up this morning and all of a sudden i noticed that my left ear is muffled like i got on a plane. i tried swollowing and yawning but does not work at all.

Last year, my fiance's mother died. Afterwards, he had anxiety so bad that he started having migraines that escalated to ice pick migraines. He went to his doctor and was gievn 120 tylenol 3's a month. Anyone out there that has ever dealt with codiene would know that it's highly addictive, and 120 is enough to start that addiction. It did. That was a year and a half ago, and it's alot worse now. He probably spends anywhere from $800-$1500 buying pills off the street in a month. He came to me last night and told me that he wanted to quit, and he asked me to call his doctor and talk to him about it and see what could be done without him having to go to rehab because he'd lose his job. I did, and his doctor said he would do nothing. HE is the one that caused this, and he said he would do NOTHING. "Sorry, I can't help you" is what he told me. He also told him that he could not be his patient any more. He then called my fiance's work place and reffered him to a detox center.
