15lbs MAX. i'd be happy with 10.
thing is, i have a really hectic schedule. i work 9am until 4, then have class from 4:30 to 10pm. on saturday i work 5-9 and sunday 12-5. when i'm not working i'm at home trying to stay awake or playing with my puppy and/or boyfriend. i really dont eat a lot. during the week i ususally just have a bagel with creamcheese around 10:30 and then a fruit & walnut salad around 2. i might have a sandwhich for dinner, or just some bread (like i said, i'm tired, to tired to eat)
on friday or saturday night, i might take home a small cheese pizza from where i work at night and eat about half of that (its a 12in pizza, so i am only eating about the size of a microwave pizza) and on saturday afternoon my bf & i go to chili's and i eat half my burger and some chips & salsa. i ususally have about 2 diet cokes thru out the day, and on sundays i usually eat half a slice of pizza or some plain pasta and thats about it for the day.

To lose 1 pound of fat you would have to burn 3500 calories. That means that to lose 10lbs, you would have to pretty much burn 35,000 calories. Studies suggest that if you focus on losing 1 pound a week, you can still have a few temptations sneaking in between. Which is a good thing.
The best advice is for you to concentrate on burning an additional 250 calories a day (a fellow Answers person said you should have more sex, and it's actually not a bad idea since it's a great workout and it gives you time with your boyfriend), and you should focus on consuming 250 calories less from your diet.
Now, you live a busy lifestyle, so I would recommend that instead of consuming fast food, you should cook at home. If you eat sandwiches, buy loafs of whole-grain breads. Buy instant soups (but buy those with low sodium contents). Instead of walnut salads, try fresh salads with freshly cut tomatoes at home, add peanuts, walnuts, any kind of nut.
Don't lose count of your food, but also try to eat smarter. Don't eat anything that is friend - no french fries, no nuggets, no fried rice.
Eat things as they are - cooked chicken, steamed rice, wheath bread, fruits, juices - natural juices, not from a vending machine. Avoid all vending machines. And remove all temptations from your house. Really, clean your fridge. Think of it in terms of reorganizing your kitchen and having only nutritional food - no heavy pastas, no supersized meals, no abundant portions.
If you eat healthy, you won't feel so tired and you won't have headaches. It's just the way it works. You'll feel energized. So focus on using food for energy, not for any "meal" ritual that we have as a society.
Try to avoid, as they say, things that aren't "natural in nature", like lean cuisine or tv dinners. If it doesn't grow from the tree or comes from the ground, don't eat it in excess. Have one or two bites, but nothing.
Cakes should be separate and sporadic. And eat them as enjoyment, not as a meal.
And take it easy. Relax.
Also: since the sex will cover the cardio, you should focus on using weights to gain just a little bit of muscle. A 5 pounder will do. And just do 4 sets of 10-15 reps. Every day. And that's it. Don't make a big deal out of it. The focus is on keeping your body making physical efforts.
Carry a pedometer ($3 for one at Walmart) and make sure you walk AT LEAST 10,000 steps every day. If you still have some to walk when you get home, do small jumping jacks, like leg work for a boxer - not the crazy jumper stuff.
Train your mind to not be lazy. Cozy settings with the bf are good, but you deserve to have energy for him and for yourself, and a few little tiny little minutes hiding in the restroom while you do a few squads will make you strong for years to come.
Good luck.

I know with a hectic schedule like yours, waking up early to go on a walk sounds just crazy, but I promise you that the early morning walk kick starts your metabolism, and will not make you tired at the end of the day, it actually gives you more energy throughout the day.
I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.
It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.
A sight with some really cool diet calculators and interesting calorie counting calculators is here. Check it out.

i agree with everything that gorilla mike above me said, except cutting your plate in half. you need more vitamins and minerals while you are more active. you're 24 yrs old...are you getting 7-8 hours sleep? you do have a busy schedule, but it doesn't seem like you're lazy. even if you are sitting in a classroom, your brain is working. concentration burns calories too, believe it or not. i would focus on a diet, maybe even try a weight loss supplement instead of bagels. shakes are quick and filling and you can take them with you. pills seem to work for some people. i haven't done any research on them so i can't help you out there. good luck.

Cutting back on carbs will help you. I know it's hard when you're stressed with a hectic lifestyle, but you can do it!
You're only a few pounds overweight, it will come off with no problem.
What we try to do for busy Kimkins Diet members is prep alot of quick meals on the weekend. Kimkins is lean low carb so "batch" cooking lean protein or making Gladware containers of salads that you can grab on the go can help.

Hi,
I've tried all different diets, and the weight loss is only temporary. I finally tried diet pills on the market are made from Hoodia. I saw this stuff on ABC News. It's all natural and safe, and it works! My wife took it for a month and dropped 20 pounds. I took it for a month and lost about 13 (but I didn't exercise).
I bought the natural hoodia from this website: http://www.alllsite.info/free-diet-pills.php . I checked the web site address so I can post it here and I saw they're running a promotion now to get a free 2 week sample for only $4.97! I'm going to order this supply for my wife and give it to her for Christmas =)

Your eating habits are part of your being tired problem. If you want to exercise try walking early in the morning before you have to go to work. But you really need to work on getting the right amount of nutrition. Your being tired is partly your body telling you its not getting what it needs.
