Codine is a very good Painkiller, and you only take 1 at time! It is availble at pharmacys. However could it be a migraine? if so, Migraleave should help. Monitor your headache(s) if they are very persistant and cause great pain, see your doc, it could many things, but dont panic! Migraines can last several days, so if bareable leave it 3 days, if its still there, do not hesitate to see your GP!

Stongest Painkiller is Paramol. But I would try Syndol which is particularly for tension headache...
Never take anadin and nurofen together these contain drugs in the same family anf you'll only benefit more side effects!

I am the queen of headaches as I usually get at least one a week. I find co-codamol makes me sick. I have tried everything and the only thing that takes the edge of mine are Nurofen Liquid Capsules, they work really fast too. Sometimes I take three if its really bad, but you need to be wary just incase your body can't deal with three. (I'm a hardened pankiller taker)! Also try Migralieve. Pink and yellow tablets, they are usually quite good. Hope you shift it!

HI,
I think you have migrain, when NSAIDs are no use, you may try Fen-Phen or Wyeth, they are serotonine agonist drug, or some antiemetics like meclizine. This is for acute attack only, if you want to prevent it from happening again, in case it is frequent, you may try some antidepressents. Anyway, best thing is to relax, turn on some music, close your eyes and take a rest. This is normally result from depression. Hope this help!

Try giving yourself a head massage.
And when you get home, lay on your bed so that your head and half your body is hanging off the bed...so that you can get more blood to the head. (This really works...honest...)
Or it could be that you're anaemic at the moment. This happens a lot to me a few days after my period.
