I am 5 foot 7 inches and that is short for a male of 17 years. How can I be taller? Will better nutrition, foods and diet help? What else can I do?

unfortunately, our height is one of the few things we are stuck with and cannot change except that fact that we shrink in older ages.. :P

but being only 17 and male, its unlikely you are done growing.. how tall is your father and his father.. and your mothers father and his father? if they are fairly tall, count your blessings ... you should inherit those genes, if they are all mixed, it will vary on what you will inherit..
basically, ride it out til you are about 21.. at that point you are done growing vertically
good luck!

Well, you are approximately part-a-foot taller than natural, that is lovely tall. I'm now not certain what you imply via "too tall"? Women love tall guys, and in a lady's eyes, the taller the greater, so you are under no circumstances too tall to get the females. However, being too tall can intent wellbeing issues, however I suppose that so long as you are now not over 7'zero, you must be high-quality. If you joined the NBA, you would not be at any place practically being the tallest participant.

There are a lot of resources on trying to become taller. They usually give good suggestions of: sleeping at least 8-9 hrs a night, eating a lot of food (including intaking a lot of calcium), and exercising. That said, most people (including myself) stop growing around 17. If you are still growing however, these are things you can do.

If you want to go the other route... assuming you are still growing you might be able to get HGH, which would help immensely. I don't know much about it, but I have heard that short kids can sometimes get it prescribed.

I am 5' 8" and 50 yo and proud of it. Nothing you do will make you taller unless you go to the extreme of having your legs broken and stretched, months of pain etc.

If you are that insecure wear high heels - but remember Winston Churchill was your height, and I suspect Tom Cruise and Mel Gibson are no taller.

You may think this is fruity, but Pilates exercise supposedly makes you taller and leaner. At least look like you are. Nutrition will definitely not hurt.
