18 months ago I hurt myself at work. A CT scan was done and was found to have 2 protruding discs...One in my thorasic spine and one in my lumbar spine. I was in a lot of pain and have been on heavy pain killers since. A month ago another CT Scan was done and it came back there were no protruding discs. This confused me because I was still in pain. I am still working but can only manage to get through my shifts by taking painkillers. I went off my painkillers after I got the results of the second CT Scan because I thought it could be psychosematic. Two hours into my shift I was in terrible pain and not just at the site of the injury anymore, but the pain was worse and over a larger area. I had to lay on the floor to get relief. Could the second CT Scan be wrong. The first CT Scan I went for suggested an MRI Scan should be done as the protruding disc was indenting my thecal sac. No MRI was done. What do you think is and has happened. Any advice is appreciated.

i couldnt find a weight chart on-line that factors in more than age and height.
i'm 24, 5'5", 34AA, and a size 9 almost. 135-140lbs (fluxuates). i think this is considered over weight, but i dont know. i have a really thin build, and i used to be athletic (i was 115lbs up until 2 years after highschool). my mom was even smaller than me (98lbs when she got married at 19) so i've TOTALLY surpassed her.

He will DIE if he eats them and we have to carry an epi pen everywhere we go. I want your opinion on this though. I went to Wal-mart yesterday and there was this lady there giving samples of side dishes for Thanksgiving. I didn't have my son with me (thank God) and I picked up the sweet potato and tasted it. It was very good and I noticed a little crunch to it. I asked if it was nuts and the lady said yes, pecans and I said it tasted very good but I have a son that could die from eating nuts because he is allergic so I wasn't going to be able to buy it. She then told me that the nuts were on the top and I could scrape them to the side and then let him eat it. I couldn't believe her ignorance in this matter. I was in such disbelief that a grown woman could of suggested that! I told her it wasn't worth the risk and walked away. Am I over-reacting to being this upset about this?

own and not classed as a mental health problem? I am concerned that that word Mental has connitations and that it is unfair to a person who suffers from depression. Am I wrong in my thinking and how do you see it? Or is it something you have never given a great deal of thought about.

Just to remind you that mental health problems effects 1 in 4 of us during our lives and can strike at any time. And would you like to be classed as mental if you suffered or you knew someone who suffered from depression.

has just had her checkup at the hostpital. apparently the doctor asked her a few questions about her general health and then said she was fine and free to go. how on earth can he tell that she is fine without doing a proper examination! she feels angry and unsure that everything is ok. has anyone had a hysterectomy and if so were you examined properly a few weeks after? i have told her she should book an appointment with her gp and explain her worries. is that the right advice?

I had a little spider once but it died while I was excavating to see why I'd gone deaf in one ear. I also seem to lose the ends of cotton buds lately. Following a question earlier today I'm wondering if that's where men's belly fluff comes from..

I read all the time about people receiving "miner injuries", but surely with all the health and saftey laws, the days of pit props falling on people and coal dust getting in your eyes should be behind us. I read in the paper today about a car crash where the driver had miner injuries. What on earth was he doing driving a car down a pit shaft!!

I am obsessed with my weigh I am 5ft 6 weigh 57kg want to drop to 53kgs. I feel fat even though my underwear and jean size is small I am a 28ins waist. I think I suffer more than depression . Besides the sadness the constant I am not good enough thoughts going through my mind I have feelings that I am ugly and diserve to stay single that thats my punishement. I have a karate comp on Sunday it's my first biggie karate is the only thing I was ever told I was good at so I am afraid incase I am terrible. I'm just looking for a friend.

Also will it cost more if i need to have a head brace because my two front teeth are quite significantly protruded? Also does the cost quoted by an orthodontist include the price of the regular checks ups to have my teeth and braces cleaned and to have the brace tightened.

P.S. I have tried to get them on the NHS and although I am eligible there is a 3 year waiting list which I am not prepared to wait for!
Furthermore is it possibly to have braces fitted in another country where dental fees are cheaper and then have regular check ups with an orthodontist over here or do you have to carry on having treatment with the same dentist that fitted the brace!
