My brother was treated for Dengue fever and is causing a big problem with this whole system now. Currently as i type this word , he is in ICU and i want to know what to do next. He is in Ventilator and Doctor says they wrongly diagnoised Dengue and this vaccine has created problem with his lungs. He is very seriously ill. Let me know if such problem had existed before and what was the remedy. Please.....

he probaly has ARDS - the treatment of choice is ventilation. We have had a large no of dengues in our hospital and our survival rate is >95%. Dont lose hope -ARDS is curable and putting a patient on aventilator does not mean he is terminal

There is no specific treatment for dengue fever, and no vaccine.Your brother must be having dengue shock syndrome. It occurs in about 1% cases, and has a high death rate. Fluid leaks from small blood vessels. It can go into the lungs and cause respiratory failure. Dengue antibodies may come out to be falsely negative in some cases.As he is in ICU on a ventilator, they are probably doing all that can be done for him. Just pray and hope for the best.
