Depends on how hydrated you were to start with. However, your system will absorb the water from a drink within about 30 minutes, starting as soon as 5 minutes after you drink. If your body does not need the extra water, your kidneys will start removing it immediately. Now, depending on the volume that was already in your bladder, you might feel the "urge" immediately, or not for quite a while. Also, there is a pavlovian reflex between drinking and the urge to pee in many people, which is independent of the physiologic process.

It isn't time but volume. There is a gland that reacts to the amount of liquid in the bladder that cause the urge to urinate. without it, we would just go bang. However, some drinks are emetics that make the fluds pass through us quick; coffee is one.

I think it varies greatly from person to person - and, how much you drink.
