Okay on Thurs. the 9th I went home early with the flu and stayed in bed all wkend. All I have now are the sniffles and cough can I go back to the gym?

No! Your body needs all that energy to fight the bacterias, do try to avoid all kinds of vigourous activities until you're fine. Or your illness could just drag on longer.

I wouldn't advise doing any exercise while ill. Your body needs to rest so it can fight the bugs away. It may be hard to stay away from the gym, but you'll get well much quicker with rest and relaxation. Give yourself a break and look forward to feeling better.

If I were you, I'd take it easy for the rest of the week. I myself exercise regularly. The last time I had the flu my doctor instructed me to stay in bed for the weekend and wait until the following week to workout. Good Luck!

make sure your body is fully recovered! do you want to have a relapse and enjoy the flu again?
enjoy the rest and hit it hard when you feel good.

I would say it would be ok. Maybe take it a little easy the first time back.

I think that as long as you feel like it. and if you sweat you may sweat some of it out.

I'd continue resting, you don't want to jinx your recovery.
