Breast cancer runs in my family. I am only 20 but this is something I have to think about. I know that at my age breast cancer is 1 out of 225 people. Also if I want to have an early detection I would need to do a self breast check because they dont do mamorgrams at my age. The problem is that I have lumps all over my breasts. You cant see them but you can feel them. How am I suppose to look for lumps when I have them all over? They always hurt really bad before my period. Sometimes I get a dull burning sensation in my left breast too. Is that normal? Please help!!!

A family member noticed a few weeks ago that she had a lump in her breast. She had it checked out last weel and the lump grew from a pea size to an egg size since then. And the other breast has about 10 or 15 small cysts on it. Just within the past three days she can't hold any food down and the big lump on the breast got bigger, turned black, and is leaking blackish greenish ooze. She is leaking from about five different parts of her breast. The hospital sent her home since she has no health insurance. That said they would call her when a spot opened in the cancer clinic. They didn't even test it to see if it is cancer. Does cancer leake from the skin? Do the lumps turn black?

For me, it was going to a local diet doctor (in Kansas, Oklahoma) and subscribing to some pills to the tune of $60 dollars a month. My appetite did not diminish-- it disappeared entirely. I lost twenty pounds within a month. Every morning, I'd step on the scale and be a pound or two lighter than I was the day before. It was fantastic!

Unfortunately, I was not wise enough during that time to develop a workout regimine, and I gained it all back within two months when I stopped taking the pills. I'm thinking it's time to go back...

Anyway, I wondered what success others have had with various methods? Has anything ever worked for you? What was it?

My husband has this one spot on his penis that, for about 5 years now, will appear and stay for about a week, then disappear as fast as it came. It looks like a scab with a red ring around it. It's not an std because we're both only with each other and are clean. I know because I was pregnant when I was pregnant. The scab feels smooth like a birth mark. Should I be worried there is something wrong with him healthwise?

I just feel weird about taking a pill every day from here on out. I have do have OCD and I don't know if the medicine is working because I am still feeling like I was, just a little less, but I don't want to be on drugs forever. Can you overcome this without medicine??

I am taking 300 mg of Welbutrin, 20 mg of Lexapro and I'm thinking about starting to take 100 mg of 5-HTP, L-Tyrosine, Vitamin B-6 and B-12, 30 mg of Ginkgo Biloba, 595 mg of Potassium Gluconate, 400 mg of Folic Acid, a Multi-Vitamin, and 1000 mg of Fish Oil Concentrate. Is this a good combination? Also, is there any other supplements I should take. This is a serious question.

I have a sore on my mouth. I cleaned it out and took a shower. In the shower, while I was cleaning my genital area, I freaked thinking I could give myself HSV. I mean I freaked- I cleaned the area for a good half hour with soap, including using disinfecting wipes and dousing the area in 91% isopropyl alcohol (yea, it burned!).

Question- can you give yourself genital herpes (touching a cold sore on your mouth then touching your genitals), and for my particular case do you think I am ok?

I just found out that I have cervical cancer and I am haveing it removed on the 25. I am so scared and nervous. My doctor is putting me to sleep so I will not feel anything when she is doing it. But I don't know what to expect after I get up. Will I have alot of pain? Or will I bleed at all and if so will it be for a long time? Can someone please help me?

Teeth brushing has beome a nightmare - a battle between parent and child. Son says he hates the taste of the tooth paste - I've tried several different flavors. I send him back repeatedly after brushings to "do a better job" which of course infuriates him. Still,he just doesn't do a thorough enough job. I have worked with him as best as I can - he says I'm treating him like a baby - to teach him proper technique. I'm worried about his teeth and the money it may cost me later on! But, I'm also worried he's going to turn off his friends with bad breath. Any suggestions?

Of course, me being retarded yesterday, chasing after my sister, hurt myself and now I got a question... She had tried to shut the bedroom door, sorta as a diversion so that she could get away, but, in the process, my arm ran into the door, HARD... Now, it isn't bruised, but is just a little bit swollen... it is about three inches from my elbow, on the ulna... is it even possible to have broken it, and it just hurt like a bruise? Or is it indeed, just a bruise??? I will be getting xrays tomorrow, but I want to know what to expect... thanks...

I started training for a race about 2 months ago. I started out doing 3.7 miles in 30 minutes (I didn't work my way up) and, needless to say, got very bad shin splints and ankle pain. I took some time off to recover and have now gone down to 2.4 miles (I didn't get to do the race). I feel like I can go farther and faster but I don't want to get injured again. How should I work my way up? Is there some rule of thumb I should go by? What did I do wrong?
