I really need to lose weight especially around my mid-section. But it seems that all of the ab workouts are done on the floor. I have back problems. Are there any ab workouts that don't involve getting on the floor?

I am freaking out and need some insight. All I know is that she was just diagnosed yesterday and now surgery is scheduled for Monday. Mom says don't worry but I'm hysterical! She is 54. Why surgery so soon? HELP!

Okay 2 years ago I got into the drug "glass" Which is a kind of speed. I didn't eat much at all and I got from 155 Ibs to 130 in about 2 months. I continued using untill January 1st 2005. Every sence I gained weight. I have tried everything, basically I eat between 1,000 to 1,500 calories aday. I just keep getting bigger and bigger. I am now like 210 Ibs I am 5'7''. The heaviest I have ever been in my whole life was 165 Ibs. It just seems like it wont stop!! My legs are less than attractive. I am about ready to kill myself. Is there anything out there I should try? How long does it take the body to figure out what its going to do and stop storing? Is it even related to the Anorexia?

Yes I do exercise!

i am an extremly deep sleeper. i can not hear the phone ringing, the dog barking, the door bell ringing. my alarm clock will go of for an hour before i will hear it. its not that im ignoring these noises, i dont hear them.

Do any of you know what I could do to just leave them alone? Besides reapplying band-aids on every finger every morning? I tried seeing the doctor and he gave me some lubriderm but it only made my fingers greasy and I couldnt even turn a door knob!

I got bored and started playing with matches. It was all fun until I burned my thumb. The burned part is my fingertip, and it is now white. The natural pinkness is gone. It feels hard kind of like calloused. I can't feel it. I tried poking at it with a pencil and had to push really hard just to feel. I think I burned the nerves out. Please tell me I'll get the feeling back! I hope it heals.

It's like you don't want to do it at all if you never do it but once you start doing it like 5 times a week you don't ever want to take a day off to rest but you have to force yourself to so the body can repair.

i have this problem since may be 1 year i think....i get a small pricking pain on left side of chest ( as if some one is pricking me with a pin), when i swallow food...and the moment when the food is right between the chest the pain happens then it goes off..and that point of pain is some 2.5 - 3inches from my throat....what could be the cause of this pain...is this pain in my heart or some where else...it happens when i swallow solid food..it pains a bit more now days(no matter how much i chew it)....rarely i also do get a pricking pain on the left side of chest...i am 22, male
