I had to have my gallbladder removed...sounds like part of my symptoms. They did an ultrasound to confirm the prescence of gallstones.

If you are female, look into the possibility of an ovarian cyst.
good luck.

If it's appendicitis it won't go away. If you have acute appendicitis you'll keep getting worse until you go to the emergency room. If you have chronic appendicitis the pain may go away, but then come back a couple times until it's bad enough for you to have to go to the emergency room.
My appendix actually ruptured. It was extremely painful, and afterwards I was very sick. I couldn't keep anything down, not even water. After 2 days of being that sick my parents took me to the hospital (I had been misdiagnosed by a pediatrician when I first became ill). I first felt sick about 5 days before the appendix ruptured. Having a ruptured appendix was quite an ordeal. I won't go into all the details, but suffice it to say, it's better not to let things get to that point.
Go to the doctor.

Appendicitis usually is accompanied by a low grade fever, vomiting, even if just for a brief period. If you push down on the lower right side hard and it hurts worse when you let up on it, that is called rebound tenderness and is a sign of appendicitis.
You could also have a cyst in your ovary, or a problem with a kidney or urinary tract infection. If your pain is not better soon, call a doctor.

Sometimes during their periods women can feel pain in their ovaries. But just in case, you may want to check in with your doctor.

i agree with dixie b. something else it could be is irritable bowell syndrome (ibs). often ibs is associated with your period. keep a diary of what you've eaten when you have this pain, and if it continues go to the doctor with it.

Sounds like renal colic or kidney stones but I think your tests would show that or at least your Dr. would be able to diagnose it.
