Maybe you are not hearing them because you don't get enough sleep and you are extremely tired. Try going to bed earlier.

Hunter.. Its not a matter of being lazy. It all depends on ur body clock and if u have a sleeping pattern at all. And who said his mum is waking him up?

Im the same. I work shift work and when i have had plenty of sleep i still dont always hear my alarm clock. I have to set my clock, alarm on my phone and a few reminders in my phone. Sometimes they still dont work.
I just have to be careful. If all else fails and i have a feeling i might sleep in and i have an early start i get my house mate just to make sure im not still asleep just before she goes to work.

They sell alarm clocks that get progressively louder. I sometimes start sleeping through the buzzing of my alarm clock, so for a few days I set my computer to wake me up with a heavy metal cd at top volume. Lately my dog will wake me up by standing an inch from me and barking to go outside.

Do you live by yourself? Can another person in the household make sure you are awake?

do not difficulty, i'm a similar. we are in basic terms deep sleepers. Alarm clocks do not paintings for me because I not in any respect awaken! someone has to hit me around the top with a frying pan before I even stir.

You can buy an alarm clock that also shines a light. That might help, if lights came on in addition to noise.
