in the winter. I have stay in bed A LOT in the winter as it seems to be the only way to keep them warm. Anytime I go somewhere they get numb and the top of my foot to my toes gets cold. And I keep get this burning under my feet almost as if someone lit a match to me. I have had my heart checked and it was normal. I am not diabetic or pre-diabetic, I had an EEG and it was normal too. I am hypothyroid but on meds for it since I was a kid. So finally the Drs just decided it was poor circulation. Could it be due to my back I wonder? They say I have degenerative disc disease.
At any rate, I don't have much to loose sicne I have insurace to cover the cost, but I'd like to know if anyone else has some insight I don't.
Thanks for your help!

My cousin's wife, she is 27 years old. Recently there's something wrong with her. She used to talk alot and had a very bubbly and helpful personality, but now she is very quiet. I donno what caused it. Maybe it was triggered by depression. She was an orphan and didn't grow up in a happy family. But now my aunt is taking good care of her. She even tried to commit suicide but changed her mind. Now she talks like a 3 year old and watches cartoons with the volume turned down. Its really serious. She can't recognize her best friend. Does anyone know what caused this and how to cure her ? Thanks.

My uncle has type 2 diabetes and my mother said his blood sugar went down to 33. She says he could have died. Is that true? His normal blood sugar is 130 now that he's on medication. She lives next door to him and he was able to call her. She said he was cold and was sweating profusely. It took about 45 min. and much juice to get the sugar back up. Should she have called for an ambulance? This is my favorite uncle. Can't have anything happening to him. Please help.

I just found out that my boyfriend's mom has Hep B. I was wondering how it is spread and how contagious it is. Could he have it and could he give it to me easily? What are the affects of this disease? I'm really worried but I don't want to ask him and embarrace him. Thanks!

Being a international medical graduate, I need to take the medical license tests in North America and applying for residency. To be qualified, I have to supply reference letters from medical professors and hands on medical working experience. Specialists' offices in Toronto area will be the opitimal choice here. Can anyone make a suggestion where I should start with?

Chemcial imbalances for many people is a common term for diseases of unknown origins, diseases or symptoms.

Well what can cause these chemcial imbalances, a bacteria, a virus, yes, but also this can be caused by a lack of 'probiotics' ( acidophilus) referring to the friendly bacteria that operates your digestive system.

When was the last time the doctor gave you bacteria, friendly bacteria ?

Modern medicine is all about attacking a problem.

What if the problem cannot be attacked, but cultivated, because the real problem is a lack of what is called friendly bacteria that processes food into chemicals. (yogurt, saurerkraut)

Since our body operates through bio-chemcial processes, then a lack of proper chemicals because we lack the 'workers' within the digestive system will cause many diseases, including cancer, or the breakdown of body cells; due in part because they don't have the proper chemicals.

Have you heard of probiotics ?
Can this be the missing link ?

In our college wellness class we had to do a nutritional analysis. I found out I only consume 65% of the calorie levels I should. I do not diet, I just do not eat a lot of meat and I have a very small appetite. I have consistently been 107 lbs for at least 5 years. My activity level is not sedentary, it is mildly active. What happens if I am not getting enough calories? I am obviously not losing weight. How can I make sure I get enough calories? Is it a bad problem that I don't have an appetite to get in all those calories?

I often have trouble falling asleep. I'll be really, really tired, but I lie in bed tossing and turning and not being able to fall asleep. I don't really want to resort to medication. I just want some advice on falling asleep.

yesterday in PE, my friends and i were throwing and catching a football back and forth. im no pro, so i could never get it to spiral..anyways, thats beside the point. i tried to catch it when one of my friends threw it to me, and she throws RELE hard...it hit my middle finger and kinda my ring finger on my left hand (thank god im right-handed)...well the pain was like unbearable, and my coach came over and said it was jammed and told me that i could be the thrower instead of the catcher, and i couldnt cuz it hurt so much..then all of a sudden everything got unnaturally bright, even for outside, and it was like my ears were plugged up, so i could barely hear anything. then these little black dots were everywhere and i couldnt walk, and i was wobbling and my coach tried to get me to a chair but i fell to my knees and i knew i was gonna pass out, so i just reminded myself that it would look pretty dramatic to faint. i didnt, but i almost did. why? is it cuz im a whimp or was it normal to?

I struggle with mornings, as the sun is rising later and later now we are officially in Autumn so I thought something like this would be good:

I'll be coming home from work in the dark in a month or so, so I was thinking of also getting an actual light box to use in the evenings. Problem is the alarm clock ones go for £60 or so, and light boxes are at least £150-200!!! Any ideas where's best to go (other than somewhere in the southern hemisphere haha)

Ok, so i'm not exactly fat,
Im 146lbs and the reccomended
weight for someone my age and
height is anywhere from 115-130,
"so i was told by a friend." I'm a pretty
busy person, but any spare time i
have, I squeeze in a few laps around
the block. My boyfriend is gone, and i don't
want to look worse than i did before when he
gets home next month, what can i do that can put
off the pounds quickly, without going into an
unhealthy manner?

I know for a fact that my boyfriend doesnt masturbate at all, hasnt ever looked at porn, etc. I guess he just grew up thinking that was bad/wrong/ or whatever. The thing is, the other day i heard a lecture from a sex ed. type specialist at school that said a guy in his late teens/early 20s actually SHOULD ejaculate 4-7 times a week, otherwise his risk of prostate cancer goes WAY up. I even told my boyfriend that (i dont want him to get cancer! i plan on marrying him!) and he didnt take me seriously---what do i do? Should i just consider myself lucky my boyfriend isnt like a masturbation addict or what?

hello, i posted this one before, but i have found the official terminology, which might help.
after a rough sex session with no lube, i have a small tear in my frenulum,

the small tear is about 1cm below where the arrow is pointing to in the first pic:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frenulum

there was/is no blood or anything, it is just very tender/raw and sensitive whenever i get an erection or masturbate (of which i am trying to avoid - but i am 22, this is very difficult!).

i have had this for 2 weeks now. has anyone else had this happen? and how did they cure it? i am going to go to the doctors tomorrow to have it checked out. will it be ok to just go to a nhs walk-in clinic to get this checked out (as i am not yet registered with a gp). thanks!
