I know for a fact that my boyfriend doesnt masturbate at all, hasnt ever looked at porn, etc. I guess he just grew up thinking that was bad/wrong/ or whatever. The thing is, the other day i heard a lecture from a sex ed. type specialist at school that said a guy in his late teens/early 20s actually SHOULD ejaculate 4-7 times a week, otherwise his risk of prostate cancer goes WAY up. I even told my boyfriend that (i dont want him to get cancer! i plan on marrying him!) and he didnt take me seriously---what do i do? Should i just consider myself lucky my boyfriend isnt like a masturbation addict or what?

He's normal. My husband had a terrible time when he had to produce a sperm sample when we had trouble conceiving, as he had never masturbated before. (He was fine, and now we have a daughter!) He also has no interest in porn. But he's definitely sexy and healthy - he just isn't into those things. Don't hassle him. As long as you're getting your needs filled, don't worry about it. The sex ed guy is a jerk, pardon the pun!

While it's uncommon for a young man to not masturbate, it's not abnormal. However, I do understand your concern about his possible predisposition to prostate cancer. I've never heard that, and am wondering if the lecturer who spoke is correct. You might ask your doctor just to make sure, and if this is a fact, hopefully you can persuade your boyfriend, not necessarily to begin masturbating, but perhaps he needs to be more aware of certain health hazards, and have some consideration for your worries about his health.

I guess I would consider you lucky in a way, because you must be keeping him satisfied....However, if you're not having sex, it might be a good idea to do that. It's not masturbating alone, you know, that produces ejaculation. The end result (ejaculation) is the same whether he engages in auto-eroticism or sex.

Of course hes normal. If he don't masturbate then he'll ejaculate during his sleep. (not much though)

You can always replace masturbation with sex. If you don't want him having prostate cancer then have sex with him.

That is absolutely normal. Don't hassle him about it - everyone is different. Be glad he ish't addicted to porn or self stimulation - the other extreme is worse. And I wouldn't put a lot of stock in what that "sex ed. type specialist" either.

I think he is not being truthful. You may think you know, but, you don't. A guy is not going to tell you that information on a normal basis, it is just too personal sometimes. Leave him be about it, he'll tell you more if you lay off him some. I guess that your only other option would be to have sex with him 4-7 times a week, huh? Good luck there!
