My cousin's wife, she is 27 years old. Recently there's something wrong with her. She used to talk alot and had a very bubbly and helpful personality, but now she is very quiet. I donno what caused it. Maybe it was triggered by depression. She was an orphan and didn't grow up in a happy family. But now my aunt is taking good care of her. She even tried to commit suicide but changed her mind. Now she talks like a 3 year old and watches cartoons with the volume turned down. Its really serious. She can't recognize her best friend. Does anyone know what caused this and how to cure her ? Thanks.

My aunt has taken her to see doctors. They also had friends who recommended a 'bomoh' to get rid of evil spirits etc. Now my cousin is scared of people and scared of leaving the house. My aunt said my cousin went up an appartment building and stood there a long time and then decided not to jump because my aunt loved her so much. Putting her in a mental hospital would probably make her worse.

Something in her life has triggered this and no one can really pin point the cause, but she needs lots of love, care and understanding. Depression is awful and can be treated...Get her an appointment with a Psychiatrist or Therapist as soon as you can...if you haven't already.....Good luck, and God Bless You and your family!

She has had a mental breakdown...and it is time to go get a social worker for her and get her evaluated...hopefully they can get her some ssi or some kind of disablility while she is in this state of mind..poor thing....she has mental illness and needs help badly....this could be and probably is an inherant illness...and perhaps why SHE was orphaned in the first place...maybe a mom who had the same illness...get her some help and evaluated asap and perhaps they can get her some financial help to help lessen the burden a tad..

Maybe she is tired.
New experiences would interefere with her memories of her best friends.
Keep sufficient foods with sufficient nutritions and minearls and sufficient energy and potent. It should not be more than naccessary.
Probabily, a few weeks latter, she will be recovered.
Friendships can help.
God bless you
( Many mental illness should have some common genectic factors.)

Did she "change her mind" before she swallowed a handful of pills? If not, it could be the drugs screwed up her haid.
