I started when i was 11. Is that unusual? when did you start?

I am 12 now, but i started when i was 10. One of my best friends atarted when she was eight and my friends sister has started and she's eight also. Girls can begin having their periods between the ages of 7-18. if you haven't had your period by the time your 18 you may have an ovary problem and need to see a doc!!

I started mine when I was 10. The age veries from person to person. I've heard cases where a girl started as early as 7. I've also heard cases where they don't start til after they're 14. 11 is about the average age for a girl to start her periods. Not unusual at all.

I started at the age of 10, and no it is not unusual most girl start as early as 11 and some as late as 15 and 16yrs, my sister was 14 1/2 yrs. when she started.

I also started when I was 11. I don't think it's unusual at all, quite normal actually.

No that's not unusual. Cuz my Doctor said that the earliest that a girl can start is 8 yrs old. I started mine when i was 12.

I started when I was 15 which is considered late. My mother was 9. Alot has to due with your heritage. Some nationalities have a shorter life span in years gone by so they started earlier because they married early. I think today's medical standard prefer starting by 13. The important thing is to not neglect medical check ups after you have started.

Not unusual at all. I think I was around 13, but a friend of mine didn't until she was 15. Everybody is different and matures differently.

I started mine when I was 10,so no that's not unusual like mine it may run in the family.

I've gotta say, I don't know what "unusual" is anymore. I'm 26 and still havn't had one. One day I found some blood down in that area, but it turned out that I had just spilled some ketchup on myself while eating a hotdog in the nude.
