Ok, so i'm not exactly fat,
Im 146lbs and the reccomended
weight for someone my age and
height is anywhere from 115-130,
"so i was told by a friend." I'm a pretty
busy person, but any spare time i
have, I squeeze in a few laps around
the block. My boyfriend is gone, and i don't
want to look worse than i did before when he
gets home next month, what can i do that can put
off the pounds quickly, without going into an
unhealthy manner?

Try the low glycemic approach. It means eating foods that don't spike your blood sugar because blood sugar spikes actually result in insulin production which results in weight gain. step 2 is a 20-30 min walk 5x a week and step 3 is following up with high quality supplements. This is a lifestyle change and not a fly by night starvation diet. With my progarm you will generally lose 5-12 lbs the first week then 2-3 lbs each additional week until you reach your goal. Then all you need to do is maintain! Check out these sites and contact me

Cut out the sodas. Someone told me that if you stop drinking sodas and drink more juice or water, that you'll lose 10 lbs. I think it has something to do with the sugar and the calories in it or something. I tried this. It works. I quit drinking sodas and lost 5 lbs in a week. Unfortunately, I'm addicted to Pepsi, and was back to drinking sodas within a month, but it worked. Also, try eating more salads and fruits and veggies. Stay away from the starches like cereal, pasta, bread etc. Good luck sweetie.

If you are certain you are not pregnant... then just cut back on the portion size at meal time, drink more water and never eat anything past 8:00pm. If you follow these rules, you will remain at the proper weight for your height and size.

To be honest, if you are African-American your body type is going to be different from your Euro counterpart (the Caucasian female) black women are by nature thick (per-say) but if you want to lose the extra pounds.....eat plenty of veggies, fruit, drink ya water, and continue to get ya walk on. oh-yeah...stay away from the sweets. Holla at ya bwoy.

I don't think your boyfriend will mind so much. But if you're going to lose weight you should do it for you first, not anyone else. Just cut your calories to 1500 a day and try to burn about 500 calories a day or so.
