most important thing to do right now is do a simple breast exam on yourself. put your arm on the affected side over your head and gently check your entire breast and underarm for any lumps. Next, make an appointment with your doctor and let him/her know in advance what symptoms you're having. Most tumors or cysts that cause drainage from the breast are benign but must be addressed promptly.

I'm sure your doctor will want to run quite a few tests to determine the nature of the fluid but one the the determining tests for cancer specifically could be a biopsy. also, there are some blood work ups they could do but I'm not sure the exact name of them. You could ask your doctor about blood work first before a biopsy because blood tests would be less invasive and may give you the same results. talk to your doctor. Good luck, God bless you, hope this helps.

Please see a doctor as soon as possible. It may be something benign, but what you are experiencing is not normal. First you will have a mammogram. Depending on what it shows you might have a needle biopsy to see if any cancer cells are present. DO NOT HESITATE - GET MEDICAL HELP ASAP!

It will likely be biopsied or you will have a mammogram. Often the discharge is just benign intraductal papilloma, but you must have a doctor check it out to be sure.

A mamogram will probably be done, and a contrast media may be injected into the duct to see polyps or tumors. I doubt he will take one look and give you a diagnosis. You may have fibrocystic disease with duct ectasia.
