Hi,

I'm about to get married in a few months. My fiancee has an idea to get pre-marital health exam for both us. I think that's a great idea.

However, she wants both of us to go and see her ob/gyn for this exam. I don't mind with female doctor checking on my body, but it's just that she's an ob/gyn. Can an ob/gyn doing a health exam on man? I'm not questioning her ability as a doctor or anything. It's just that her specialization that's kinda raise a bit of concerns. I've asked my fiancee the same question, and she said she's able to do it. I'm not gonna ask her the same question twice, otherwise she's gonna be very upset with me. She's been seeing this doctor for years. I've met her as well on several occasions. She's actually very nice and kind.

Any advice/suggestions?

For several months I have been out. My skin ranges from extremely sensitive at best to severely itching, getting bad enough to cause a jerking reflex reaction to a pinpoint pain caused by the irritation.

I have seen a lot of docs and taken lots of tests with no resolution, so I am looking for causes other than liver ailments and allergies - something tat wouldn't show up in a typical blood tests, urinalysis, MRI, EEG, or ultrasound.

its weird. when i sit down, especialy at the movies, my leg (left leg only) becomes numb. its the upper part, so mostly my thigh. it starts tingling and itching and going sorta numb. it happens when i sit down for a while. but not all the time. anyone know why? its been happening for like 1 year now. and i just began to think that maybe it has to do with the fact that i have mitral valve prolapse. since its my left leg. i dono just a guess.

Do you have any ideas or suggestions? if you need more info ill add more right away.

it burns really badly. feels kind of like a rug burn but its not. its on my upper right leg. there is no mark or burn or rash. its very strange.

i have seen most of the doctors smoking all the time..if it is really bad for health why the smoke...it is said it releases tension but as far i know sometime it has the opposite effects....

Two months ago I went to the eye doctor to get an eye exam. He gave me my presciption (which doesnt expire until April 2007) and I got my glasses. Well I just broke my new glasses and ive decided glasses were too much of a hassle. Now Im just wondering...What is the difference between contact lens exam and an eye exam. According to my knowledge...a contact lens exam is an eye exam PLUS contact fitting. Is this correct?

So if I were to get contacts would I just have to get a contact fitting or would I have to get the whole contact lens exam? Any other suggestions/ or solutions?

Well, my boyfriend has ADHD and is bipolar. We have been going out off and on for 10 months now. It is really starting to take a toll on me and I love him so much, but it is so hard to put up with him sometimes! We don't have money to get him medicine.
