My grandmother is 101 yrs old. She told me that when she was a little girl in NJ, another girl up the street contracted "lockjaw." I asked how the girl was able to eat, drink and talk (thinking they could wedge a straw between her teeth or something). She said, they had to pour food in because when you get "lockjaw," the jaw freezes in an opened position. I was horrified at the image in my mind and told her so. She said yes, it was horrifying, the girl always looked like she was in mid-scream! Could this be true? Or, is my grandmother mis-remembering something else, and perhaps, embellishing it a little?

im 21yo female with history of anxiety/panick attacks, Dr sent me to have EEG because i am always dizzy, the scan showed unstable brain activity - Epileptic, put me on EPILUM 500mg. However I have never lost consciousness or had a seizure, i just have disorientation or dizzyness even on the meds. Went for second EEG, neuro said im perfectly healthy, unstable activity was noticeable however natural for someone my age during hyperventilation (which they make you do during EEG) however the neorologist cannot prove i dont have epilepsy because im on meds, and to stay on them for a year?! Because she wont prove i don't have it, i cannot drive a car because technically they cant do anything????? how can i have epilepsy.... when ive never had an attack? or lapse of consciousness? and if i did have a lapse of consciousness (petit maal) would I know?Also since being on the EPILUM 500mg twice a day, i have become sort of dependant, as it is a mood stabilizer.

Ok I know that there bad with your teeth I brush mine alot and I drink around 3 cans a days drink like, Diet Coke, Pepsi Max, Diet Pepsi, anything really that sais diet, but I am not a fat bloke but would like to get in to shape and been thinking do these drinks have hidden bad points anyone have the answer?

I have tried being nice to her. She just says I do not understand what she is going through. That is not true. I told her that it is bad for her health and that people do not want to be around her when she is unclean. She won't listen. What do you do when you have to be around this person.

Not by law, I have seen pot smokers that do not leave the couch, and I know alcohol drinkers that are mean and nasty when they drink. Why would you want to be either way?

Lately when I've been eating I've been feeling really sick and I'm not sure why. I don't have a fever or any kind of bug or anything as far as I know. It's been going on for probably more than a week now. Just thinking about food makes me feel sick. Before I all of this happened, I noticed a while back that I couldn't finish an entire hamburger without feeling full, or other things, like salads, fruit, vegetables, and especially meat and bread. Does anybody know what the problem could be? Yesterday I tried to eat and I barely got a couple bites of my salad down before I was sick again.

I have some deep bruises on the tops of my thighs that have been there since January. They have faded, but they are still highly visible when I wear shorts. I wear long shorts already, so that is not the answer. Any suggestions??

I have heard that local raw honey is good for allergies, I have dogs which scratch alot of the time, ever after baths,and one gets a shot sometimes. Should I try this for them? I have allergies too, but most of mine is to them, which I don't want people to tell me to get rid of them,not an option, I am in the animal industry(groomer) and I have 2 cats and 3 dogs. I'm willing to try it also,but want to know about them ,Mollie is miserable sometimes... thanks B.
