Well there is still a debate as to whether or not aspertane (the fake sugar in most diet drinks) causes cancer. so if you think that getting cancer would be bad for you, then i'd avoid them.

From a purely nutritional standpoint, I don't think they are good or bad for you. But that is part of the problem. Drinking 100% fruit juice does have calories, but it also has many vitamins and minerals that are good for you, in fact some can actualy help you build muscle and loose weight.

There is some thought that Diet Drinks are worse for you than regular drinks. The theory is that the sweet taste causes mobilization of the body response to sugars (insulin etc) and may be a factor in the increase in type II diabetes. Better I think to have a sweet drink that your body will react correctly to handle. Best of all to drink water. That's what the system is designed to work with.

Nothing is good for you anymore.

One minute chocolate is bad for you, then it's good for the heart.

Just like red wine. Good one minute, bad the next.

You only live once. So who cares anymore.
