Lately when I've been eating I've been feeling really sick and I'm not sure why. I don't have a fever or any kind of bug or anything as far as I know. It's been going on for probably more than a week now. Just thinking about food makes me feel sick. Before I all of this happened, I noticed a while back that I couldn't finish an entire hamburger without feeling full, or other things, like salads, fruit, vegetables, and especially meat and bread. Does anybody know what the problem could be? Yesterday I tried to eat and I barely got a couple bites of my salad down before I was sick again.

Sorry, I failed to mention that there's no way it's pregnancy. I'm a virgin.

oh boy I got this one, I was 17 with the same problem. Your depressed, you don't realize it but something in your life is stressing you. It takes its toll you start eating less and less and you don't realize the problem until you get another problem. I lost 40 lbs in 2 months and never knew what was wrong, I was hungry I'd eat and I'd get sick, felt like I ate too much. The best solution is to try walking 1 mile a day it will make your body heal its self that is what you need.

Eating a diet that stresses protein (poultry and fish are best, unless you are a vegetarian and then soy is very good), low glycemic carbohydrates (look up a glycemic index) and good fat (olive oil for cooking, almonds or peanuts for snacking), may help.

If even the thought of eating just a few bites or the above, makes you feel nauseous, try drinking a protein based smoothie. Start small, like a 1/2 cup every 1/2 hour until you have finished it. Don't forget to drink about the same amount of water with the smoothie.

I cannot say what the problem is, but it might be a food allergy. My husband cannot eat bread or anything with wheat, oats, barley or rye in it without getting congested. Try to make a list of those foods that immediately make you start to gag, and don't eat them.

Definitely make an appointment with your doctor for as soon as possible.

I've had that feeling alot during the 2nd semester of college. My roommate got this 24 hour bug where he couldn't stop throwing up for the whole day. I was lucky enough to catch it too, but it never totally went away. For a few good months, I couldn't really eat as much as I used to be able to. The remedy for me was just good old home cooking though, I forced myself to eat as much as I possibly could, and I feel fine again. If it's been going on for a while you should probably see a doctor of some sorts..

not to be nosey or anything but are you anorexic or do you have an eating disorder? that would be the obvious answer. If it's not that...in my experience, I get that way under a lot of stress or when I've got big transitions going on.
If you're not losing tons of weight then I wouldn't worry about it... Or, if you are, maybe go see your doctor. maybe you have an ulcer or something

Could be a lot of things, including an ulcer or reflux. The only way to know is to consult a doctor.

If it is not a physical problem in origin then I would definetely explore the psychological aspects.
