So, run to Your doctor and prepare for an surgical intervention. It is better to suffer small pain now, than to leave it for a long time, when it can open and bleed. The intervention at that stage is more painful, and there is also the danger of heavy infection and sepsa (blood infection that can cause death).

IF, you have fallen and did a Butt Buster, it may be Bone damage in that area. Sometimes there is like a Zit only it like a Bump and not Fester with a "Snow Caped Mountain" they hurt.
With all the problems we have today if you feel any concern ask a Pharmacist and he may actually know OR go to the Doctor. It may be a cyst of sorts.

It is a sign of your immune system fighting some attack on the body and your i.s. has managed to contain the problem right in that particular spot. Since it hurts to sit or lay, it could also be somehow pressing on your spine, so it is best to let a doctor bust it and get all the infection out.

It could be a pilonidal cyst. I had one in high school, and it only hurt when it was infected, but finally, it had to come out.
Was very easy, outpatient surgery.
Go see a doctor. These cysts are not dangerous, but they are painful.

i dont have a lump on the top of my butt crack

You may have a sebaceous cyst caused by an ingrown hair. Get it checked by a physician.
