Yes I have flashabacks from ptsd----although mine didn't come from war (from sexual assult). The best thing for him to do is see a counciler---If he hasn't already this shoudl eb done first-----I knwo it can be scary---PTSD is hard to deal with-----if he needs someone to talk to that is there he can email me at arat7319@yahoo.com---

hope that helps a little

Yeah... Sights, smells, sounds, any or all of these will cause 'hallucinations'. Hopefully these 'hallucinations' would be recreations of memories from his time at war, otherwise known as'flashbacks', where he feels as if he were living the memory all over again. It's normal, don't worry. Hopefully he is seeing a counsellor for his PTSD; it won't go away by itself.

If not, no. Go see a doctor.

Yes, it is. First, my thanks to you as an American citizen for fighting in Iraq, defending our freedom, and making America safer. God bless America.

ptsd can manifest itself by loss of appetite or interest in usual activities, fatigue, thoughts of hopelessness, despair or suicide, or hallucinations. You should attend post event debriefings or if none are available seek counseling.

Oh, and a very happy (belated) July 4 to you too.

Hope this helps.

If he is or WAS in the military recently, then HE SHOULD GO TO THE DOCTOR, AS IT IS FREE!!! My husband (also a soldier) says that if he's remembering things vividly, it may... MAY pass. BUT if it's constant and doesn't go away... then... NO, it's not normal. BUT... we're not doctors... So, you should send your husband to the doc ASAP!!! Good Luck!!!

It is common to have flashbacks. Is he actually hallucinating or having flashbacks of his experiences?
