Sounds like its possibly a condition called Meralgia Parasthetica. This is a condition where the Femoral Nerve becomes inflamed, due to, usually, tight pants or underwear, utility belts pressing down on the nerve, or being overweight/obese. Pressure on the front of the waist or on the outer upper thigh or pelvic girdle can get it (leaning against something).
