I love animals and I want to protect them. I LOVE eating meats. I think it will be almost impossible to stop eating meats. Any suggestions on how I should start and tips on being a vegetarian?

Here's the deal--I really want to be vegetarian. The thought of eating flesh just grosses me out and I can't stand the idea of animals dying for me. The thing is...and I know this is awful but I would really miss eating fish. And I dont want to be one of those people who say they are veg but then eat fish. That really isn't right. I need you to convince me to go vegetarian. Really gross me out. Give me facts to make me never want to touch meat again. I appreciate it!

I really want these, but I am staying away from any shoes that were made from animals, and I'm really new to this stuff. They look like they would be, but I want more opinions.

Each couple is asked to provide a snack for one of our classes. We have a few vegetarians and I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion. One that would be good for a 2.5 hour class of pregnant women, their partners and a couple of vegetarians.

isn't it a shame they couldn't design a meat industry capable of making use of it

....a quarter of a million perfectly healthy lambs to be incinerated, or used as bio-diesel......

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/7035225.stm

Starve them to death, or incinerate them...what a shameful world we live in.

My question being......what part of "the meat industry treats animals well" is this ?

I've been vegan 5 months now and haven't looked back// I admit making the odd mistake or finding it hard to give up favourite food like pot noodle and sweets. But i have done well, the only thing i found hard is beauty/hair products and cleaning ones as well which you can't help as my mum buys all that her self. I get most beauty products from Lush so that's good as it's vegan there. I've been learning cooking vegan food as well,.

I'm going to become a vegetarian for sure but I was wondering a few things. Should I take any vitamin supplements daily? Do they make fake bacon/bits? I know the no eggs thing is a vegan thing but what do they do instead of eggs in recipes? How can you possibly avoid eggs? I think I want to stop drinking milk too. Is soy milk disgusting or kinda the same? I'm already thin but will I lose any weight? That's all I can think of right now..HELP!

I have nothing against vegans it's just that every time we go out to dinner it's a battle because we have to go somewhere he can go and 99% of the time he picks where we eat without asking anyone where they would like to go. This is really getting on my nerves, is this normal on my part to get upset about?

I am not a vegetarian but two of my friends are. Everytime we invite them it is always one set of dishes for them, and one set for the rest of us meat eaters. Said that, this time I would like to make a set of dished that ALL of us can eat and like... and I am not just talking about some lettice and a sallad... I am talking about a proper 3 course dinner.

well, first off, i'm a teenager still living with my mom and i have no job. i know she won't go out of her way to buy meat substitute, MAYBE i can get her to buy some garden burgers, but we'll see. what other foods can i eat?

have you lost weight since becoming vegan?

has your skin cleared up?

feel more energized?

is it hard to go grocery shopping?[moving on my own soon]

what's your favorite vegan treat?

what do you usually order at fast food restaurants that you would reccommend?

thanks in advance! <3

My boyfriend and I have been together for a year, I would love to entertain his family for a dinner. Nothing fancy just welcoming and homey. His cousin is a vegetarian, but he does not eat eggs. I am trying to have things that satisy his pallet.I have very little budget for some of those recipes I looked up. Plus I have no idea how to substitute things for real milk, cheese eggs and such. I need a appetizer, en tree and dessert that can be offered to everyone, without making him feel i had to make something just for him. I love to have things personal, but simple and cheap and not too complicated. Any ideas, also if anyone would like to enlighten me on why some of the recipes I found under vegetarian still contained cheese, eggs or fish one even contained chicken. The other recipes I found involved products I have never heard of or seen before. I need something I can easily obtain and also offer to the other guests. Thanks ahead of time V
