I've been a vegetarian for over a year now, but I have never really eaten the healthy way. Now I want to go vegan, but I want to do it the right way. Any suggestions on how to eat healthy on a vegan diet?

I don't like any vegetables! I love fruits like apples, strawberries, and grape JUICE. But what about when they aren't in season, I don't want to eat just junk. What can I do. My whole family eats meat, I love the taste but can't stand the thought of killing animals. What can I eat and do? Give me Tips!

I really do respect animals, but Im not sure if i can afford 'not' to eat. I am really thin, so I dont think 'not' eating meat will help me. I also do think it will be a hard transition. Even though I really hate to think about what animals go through, for us to eat, Im not sure if I can see my not eating meat.

I have alot of questions regarding Vegetarians/Vegans. First of all, it seems like they hate ppl who arent Vegentarians/Vegans... Do they reallly and why??? I mean everyone makes mistakes...noone is truly perfect. Second of all... I heard Vegies only dont eat the meat of an animal...but they do eat eggs, milk, cheese, etc. I heard only Vegans are against that stuff. Is this true?? Also, do Vegetarians were leather?? I know Vegans dont. Also, why exactly do they not eat meat(or animal products dor Vegans)??? I mean if ur saying that its a living creature and ur killing it...then how about plants. Plants are living creatures. Also, is it healthy to be Vegan. I mean where are they supposed to get protien and all those nutriants that plants dont have??
I guess those are all my questions. By the way, I was not trying to offend anyone. I just wanna know because I am thinking of becoming Vegetarian.

Over my life, I've heard many people talk about how disgusting it is that Asian countries eat dogs and cats yet they still eat meat. Meat is meat, right? And God put all these creatures here for us to eat, right? So, why is it ok to eat other animals and not dogs and cats? Just because they're domesticated is not a very good answer.

Hypocrites? I think so.

The reason I ask is because I saw a beautiful fox fur stole at Saks Fifth that would go beautifully with my dress for a fancy dinner party I'm going to. Now I don't believe in killing animals for their fur, but I do have a neighbor that raises foxes and he said he would lend one to me for the party. I thought I could just drape it over my shoulder, and return it afterward and that way I'll look stylish and no animals will get hurt. Do you think this is a good idea?

Why are there so many questions about veg lifestyles and politics and questions like, "How can I eat without moving my tongue?" in the section for vegetarian food and drinks?

Does this seem to bother anyone else?

Ive read that soy milk causes estrogen levels to increase, but so does pcos and Im already at a risk for ovarian cancer because of pcos...

Do you trust these new studies on soy milk?

If I have to give soy up, I wont drink any milk I guess. Unless someone has any other milk suggestions?

And before some anti vegan comes trolling along to tell me all about how great real milk is, Im NOT allowed to drink it. So dont waste your time, I dont want to hear it.

I want honest, informed answers, please. I would not dream of wearing fur under any circumstances and find the fur industry disgusting. However, I am considering buying a leather sofa because I have two German Shepherd dogs who have the run of the house and my current sofa is a mess because of them lying and playing on it so much. But I would not want to buy leather ANYTHING if the leather came from animals who where raised and killed only for the leather. However, if the leather is a by product from the food/meat industry....well, then until people stop eating meat then I may as well use the leather because waisting any part of the animal means it died in vain.

I'm interested mainly in the opinions of Vegitarians and people who are opposed to animal cuelty. But I'll listen to whatever anyone has to say.

I'm a picky eater and would like someone to compare the tastes before I decided if I want to spend the money on them. I don't have the money to randomly choose foods to buy and try.
Which are sweeter, more mild, strongest flavor, etc? And any ways of preparation are also appreciated.

Thanks,
Uhura
