There is a theory that animals used for research, animals in zoos, animals in circuses, animals on fur farms, racing animals, and animals in factory farms are enslaved. Animal liberation is about ending animal exploitation. I don't agree that literally freeing them from their cages is a good idea, as these animals have no idea how to survive on their own. I believe that we have to cut demand off at the knees to gradually reduce the number of animals who are exploited (and well over 90 percent of animals exploited are for food) until all of these industries shut down.
