I am hungrey and I would have to eat 2 salads to get full.
So thats is $10.
If i eat 5 burgers that would be $5.
I can not afford to be moral and I have no time to pack a lunch...
thoughts?

Salads involve mostly fresh product. More expensive to keep it that way. and a little more labor intensive to produce the finished product.
Hamburgers etc. involve alot of processed foods. Cheaper to freeze it, can it, or whatever and ship it. And it doesn't take much thought to drop fries in grease and press a timer button.

As stated, a garden salad from McDonald's is $1.
That $1 double cheeseburger is filled with fat and cholesterol.
Eliminating animal products from your diet is not just a more ethical practice, but it is healthier for you, too.

Go to Burger King. They have a BK Veggie Burger for just under 4 bucks. Pretty filling.

As Darksuns pointed out, crap is cheap. You can freeze the burger and blend all sorts of chemicals into it, but you really can't do that with the salad and make it taste good.

It's insane. That's why the US is so unhealthy. It's easier and cheaper to eat unhealthy food! Veggies cost twice as much as,say, hamburger at Walmart. I don't get it. It's even worse when you try to go totally organic! Its so frustrating!

The one I can't understand is that a Sausage Biscuit and Hashbrowns are $1.00, but Hashbrowns alone is $.89. Doesn't that mean that the Sausage Biscuit should be $.10?

Do you have a Wal-mart?
They have a salad mix (good size bag) under $3.00.
They also have premade salads and sandwiches in the deli.

why is it when you order a combo meal the same ice tea is 1.59 but when you dont order a meal the tea is 1.00?but they cant give it to you for 1.00 in combo meal?I get aggravated with them.Wendys has a wonderful variety on 1.00 menu.I wonder why more of these places do not carry soup?
I would appreciate it since i love soups.Chili is great in winter but.i love variety.

If you are interested in vegetarianism then why would you be in McDonalds. I say keep your money & your morals and steer clear of the golden arches :o)
