Generally, no. Peanuts, peanut oil, salt, sugar. If you want to make absolutely sure that there's no dairy products in your peanut butter, look for food labeled Kosher Parve.

(In response to someone else's answer, the peanut is not a vegtable. It is a plant, though). Some peanut butters contain mono and di-glycerides (usually the cheaper brands). This can be made from animal based glycerin, but 90% of the time it is plant derived (I've called companies). Glycerin is in a lot of things, from bread to shampoo, but again, most glycerin is plant derived. Someone else suggested looking for the Kosher sign and that's an excellent way to check. If it says U or K or Pareve (sp?) then it is completely free of all animal prodcucts.

EDIT:
veggie tart: I was going to inculde something about fish being considered pareve (though, I didn't know about eggs), but I didn't want to confuse anyone. Most of the time, pareve means no animal products.

Look for all-natural peanut butters that only have peanuts and maybe salt, and you should be okay. You don't want a whole bunch of ingredients in your peanut butter anyway.

BTW, pareve doesn't necessarily mean vegan, as fish and eggs are considered pareve.

Well, most peanut butters are vegan, but they're not all very healthy!
The reason so many people are allergic to peanuts is because of aflatoxins. Aflatoxin is a mold that grows on peanuts (and a lot of other things!). It is one of the most carcinogenic substances known to man. Please consume it in moderation!!!
Try raw almond butter instead.

Not in the regular peanut butter, there shouldn't be. Obviously, honey roasted or the like would be an exception to that.

Well, mine has just peanuts and salt, so I'd say it's good. You just have to check the labels, brand like Skippy might have some extra, unnecessary stuff... if there's sugar you'd have to decide whether you were going to worry about it being filtered through bone char...
