I've been vegan 5 months now and haven't looked back// I admit making the odd mistake or finding it hard to give up favourite food like pot noodle and sweets. But i have done well, the only thing i found hard is beauty/hair products and cleaning ones as well which you can't help as my mum buys all that her self. I get most beauty products from Lush so that's good as it's vegan there. I've been learning cooking vegan food as well,.

I've been vegan since conception, and converted my vegetarian boyfriend to the lifestyle.

Living a cruelty-free life is the easiest thing ever, but even though I'm drawing on years of experience, the ignorant comments never affect me any less. (where do you get your protein? Animals were put here for us to eat, God said so. Do you live on salad? I had tofu once, and it was gross.)

I was a vegan for 3 months (during the three years that I was a vegetarian). I did come up with some interesting recipes, such as vegan gravy (that actually tasted pretty meaty!) and all sorts of things that utilized squash & eggplant. It's amazing how you can make things taste totally different just by adding certain spices and seasonings, or by cooking them in different ways.

But yeah, I only lasted as a vegan for three months because it was just too hard to give up sushi!!

For the most part, yeah, it's easier. You learn what you can and cannot eat, how to read labels, what brands have stuff you can eat, websites to order stuff. You also learn what brands have vegan-friendly nonfood items, such as household items, cosmetics, health and beauty stuff, etc.

I've been vegan about 5-1/2 years now.

You get used to the kinds of foods you can eat. I still find it frustrating though when I go out to eat. They waiters hate me for making he meal vegan because they have to write down so many things. Sometimes they just say forget it and here comes my salad with everything on it, including ranch dressing.

been vegan 25 years. wasn't hard. meat and processed foods made me sick. got fed up with it.

past week i spent it with a batch of really ignorant meatatarians... i've been sick since...

i'm glad i'm home.. eating normal again.. i hate ignorance. i haven't been so sick in my life.

what made them think i was going to enjoy meat? never seen such a batch of inept invertebrates who have nothing but a rock between their ears.

they were so appalled, they couldn't possibly believe someone who would rather eat veggies and fruits than meat.. i warned them over and over.. they even put the junk in the foods i made... then i got sick.. real sick.. told them my history and they were just flabbergasted... like what does it take?

ignorance is bliss until they nearly kill a guest.

well i won't be coming by their place anymore and i'm more than confident they don't want me back.

:D

i just wanted to put this answer in this light.
