Do you like Skittles or Starburst better ?

2007-09-23 16:24:50 · 38 answers · asked by Anonymous

The lower number being the percentage of meat you eat as a total part of your diet.

Are you like a 90%/10% strict flexi, the more popular 80%/20% or the more progressive 75%/25%? How long have you been a Flexitarian?

And are you a more a Red or White flexitarian. In other words do you eat red meat or stay with white meat i.e. poultry, seafood, fish, etc.

I need to do a report on the mistreatment of FARM animals and i need help.
What specifically do they do to animals?
Is it true that farm animals don't have any protection to prevent abuse?
What are bad things they do to them before they kill them?

ok, well this is my first halloween season as a vegetarian (so i'm like waaay more aware of the types of things that are in candies), so that pretty much means no candy corns, skittles, ect. and i'm kind of bummed about it.

: ( i mean i know that i'm being healthier and what not, but i feel kind of left out because all of my friends are like chowing down on gelatin filled halloween candy and i'm just like sitting there trying to resist my temptations by thinking of the nasty gelatin.

well i guess my question is.....any advice? or reassurance?

ps: i know that vegetarians can eat gelatin, but i choose not to, i mean in my opinion it's the same concept..the animal had to die.

Ener-G egg replacer or A flax egg.

I just heard that flax gets gooey or gels when you add warm water then let it sit for a couple of minutes and that sounds more egg-like.

I have a leather sofa, and I was wondering if a vegetarian or vegan would be offended by it and refuse to sit on it if they came round. Would you?

Do you only have to worry about getting high cholesterol if you eat animals? In health this week, I learned that you get high cholesterol from eating animal fat. I don't eat gelatin, or any meat whatsoever! (Including seafood!)

I have just finished the book Skinny ***** and was really surprised by what I read. I have been trying to change my diet but am finding it difficult where to start as I have a 22 month old son and am breastfeeding my 4 month old son. I need some ideas on what are basics for my store cupboard and what I need to include in this sort of diet for my little ones. Does anyone know of a good meal planner I can get hold of or just some good ideas on where to start.

(I know some of you are getting tired of my questions) [:

So, I'm a Vegetarian (As some of you know)

And I really want to go Vegan.
I know theres animal blood, pus, antibiotics, hormones and other things in my milk...

And I know Organic milk isn't going to help because it still supports animal abuse.

I Absolutely LOVE Yogurt, And I can't live without it. ;[

I need help, Majorly...

Do you wonderful people know any brands/stores that may sell VEGAN:

yogurt
milk
cheese
cream cheese
sour cream
ice cream

And things like that?

Answers that include the majority of the list gets best answer!

I've heard fish oil is much better than flax oil but I'm a vegan so I won't take fish oil. Any suggestions?

I currently dont eat any meat but i do take in dairy. However, the past month, i've been getting headaches which seem to originate from my temples. I learned that a iron deficiency can cause the arteries near your brain to swell and cause headaches. I've had a blood test and i know i'm low on iron. I tried taking supplement, and eating more iron rich foods but nothing has worked. SHould i start to eat seafood? Or should i become entirely meat eater, i dont want to become a meat eater but i cant take these headaches anymore.

anymore than having McDonald's, Outback, Chili's, Burger King on every city street wants to make me eat there. Maybe if you watched sausages being made, you might rethink the whole idea.

Do you just ignore it or let them know if you're coming round to dinner etc that you'd prefer if they served something else that you both/all agree on?

I'm an Omnivore who isn't a huge fan of Red Meat incase you're wondering.

I was wondering because I am running into people who say they are vegan, but have leather shoes or a leather purse. My understanding is that a true vegan doesn't have any ties to any animal products at all, no by products in the house, don't wear anything, they truly lead an all natural lifestyle. I am finding that people just like to use the term as if it were a badge of honor.
I am in no way knocking people who are vegans, I was just wondering if standards have been relaxed, because everyone feels like they need a cause to fight for, but don't really fight for it.

I can understand (although disagree with) the vegan argument that dairy/poultry/beef production is inhumane, but I do not understand the aspect that being vegetarian is somehow better for the earth. What about all the agrichemicals, diesel fuel, and vast amounts of water used to produce any ag product? People who also buy only organics (the minority) can argue the first item somewhat, but it still requires a lot of water and energy to produce your soy, wheat germ, and vegetables. Not to mention, organic vegetable production is far from being overwhemingly successful (if it were, it would be the norm). So, without being combative, what say you?

The people who eat meat and come into the Vegetarian and Vegan sections, and poke fun at as, do that. There are tons and tons of famous actors and actresses that are, and I bet some of them would be their favorites too.
