The lower number being the percentage of meat you eat as a total part of your diet.

Are you like a 90%/10% strict flexi, the more popular 80%/20% or the more progressive 75%/25%? How long have you been a Flexitarian?

And are you a more a Red or White flexitarian. In other words do you eat red meat or stay with white meat i.e. poultry, seafood, fish, etc.

I would like to say 80/20 but my doctor says I'm anemic so its more like 75/25 for now.
Slightly more white than red.

Look... either you're vegetarian/vegan, or you're not. I, myself, am not. I enjoy meat. However, there are days where I simply don't feel like eating meat... it just doesn't appeal to me. So... I will prepare a vegetarian meal (as best as this meat eater can) from time to time.

What it all comes down to is this. How one lives their life is their choice. It's like choosing your religion or political affiliation... it's personal.

If you choose to eat nothing but vegetables and fruits and such.... good for you. You'll die at an older age, be healthier in the long run and leave a good looking corpse.

If you choose to eat meat (of any variety), you'll die at a younger age, be less healthy and leave a corpse that makes you look 100 years old, when you're only 70.

Thank you for asking a question that has such wide appeal amongs the more discerning folks. I've been a flexitarian vegetarian for years although I rarely dabble in flexitarian veganism. It really is too confining for my lifestyle.

I would say I bounce betwixt the popular 80/20 and 75/25. Although when I travel I adopt the diet of the culture and many of those push me closer to the strict flexi.

I tend to be more of a White flexitarian 98% of the time. Although on occasion I will treat myself to a very lean cut of red meat or a special meat entree at a restaurant.

I've found vegan and veggie sites helpful for recipes once one gets past all the propaganda crap.

Simply adding a bit of meat, poultry, fish, dairy or seafood make them suitable for either a flexitarian vegetarian or flexitarian vegan diet.

We need to promote the cause and benefits of Flexitarianism more on this forum. I think most people are just "normally" either flexitarian vegetarians or flexitarian vegans. It certainly will bring in a more acceptable and quality group of comments and thinking individuals to our forum as opposed to what we have now.

I was previously a pescatarian, but recently made the switch to full veganism. I suppose if you had to put me in a flexitarian vegan group, I would be a 90%/10% at this point, though I think I'm closer to 95%/5%. I eat nearly all whole, non-meat, non-dairy foods with some exceptions made for soy, rice or almond based convenience foods from time to time.

What exactly is your education in nutrition Mr. Meat? You act like you are some kind of expert, but since I'm married to a Dietitian I'm not exactly impressed. Anybody can make up something and rant about it.

Is your entire purpose on YA to complain about vegetarians? Why? You seem to be on some kind of crusade and I don't get it. Were your parents vegetarians and they abandoned you when you were a little boy or something?

I would say 75/25, but the majority of that is seafood. I have really cut back on red meat.

I love that you go around saying that you're 'flexitarian' vegan.
"flexitarians" don't exist. if someone eats meat they're not vegan or vegetarian. but I'm pretty sure you already knew that, you just have nothing else better to do.

see ya around, troll.

80/20 and White. Keeps me in shape and I can function well in any environment and situation I find myself, which is important because it can change from moment to moment. I can't be a "princess" about what I eat.

Besides it is in concert with my exercise regiment and spiritual disciplines. So physically, emotionally and spiritually I'm in top shape on a flexitarian diet.

I'm a vegan, and because I've seen your outrageously obnoxious and ignorant posts on other vegan/vegetarian questions, I have to wonder why you're asking.

You DO know that vegans and vegetarians don't eat meat, right? Salvation Army. Dictionary. 50 cents. Have fun.
