OK, so I put eggs on to boil for egg salad, and then I completely forgot I put them on, and they boiled for like half an hour! Will they still be edible? There was still plenty of water in the pot.

It must be an easy one please- one that you have made!!!!!

Please don't give me any links to any other website!!!!!
I'm a teenager and I don't think my kitchen experience is so vast for me to try recipes that are too sophisticated!!!!!

(P.S.- if you think I'm too young to cook- I'll get my elder sis to help me!)

I just made a batch of fudge as per the recipe here http://www.recipezaar.com/122457 - it hasnt set anywhere near a fudge type substance and is just squishy in the pan. This is for my sons teachers as gifts and i'm really annoyed its not worked out.. what did i do wrong? The recipe does not say to heat to any certain degree it just says heat gently. Hmmf!

Every Christmas Eve my mother and I make a bunch of appetizers in lieu of a complete meal for the family to munch on while we play board games. We usually stick to the old family favorite stand bys, but I think it would be fun to branch out this year. Do you have any recipes you'd like to share? Thanks!

I am hosting a dinner for 5-7..Please advise me on the following..

A turkey--What size? Is it best to use a turkey bag or cook upside down and then flip the last half an hour?

Stuffing--If you use a "mix"--What can you add to make it more "homemade"?

Sweet Potatoes---Is a pecan topping or marshmellows more preferred by the majority?

Pies---Would pumpkin and pecan be enough or should I include a fruit pie or a cake maybe?

Snacks---I am expecting people at 4, dinner to be served at 6. Should I have snacks? If so, what are some good, quick, easy, and INexpensive options?

My meal tenatively includes: Turkey, Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes, Green Bean Casserole, Cranberry Sauce, Turkey Gravy, Rolls...

Does that sound about right? Anything I should add or omit?

Boy holiday meals get expensive! (Thinking it would have been cheaper to take everyone out...;))

Thank you for the advice Everyone! Happiest of Holidays!

I am making rack of lamb for Christmas. Does anybody have any good suggestions that will go with that? It's only dinner for two so I don't want to make too much. Maybe two sides and that's it. Thanks!

I once read that its taste is far superior to "regular" paprika, but I've never cooked with Hungarian paprika. I am making shrimp Creole for a large group of people. The recipe that I use requires one tablespoon of paprika for 4-6 servings (which I consider quite "paprika intensive"), and I'm planning to double the recipe. My questions are (1) does anyone know if Hungarian paprika would be good in this dish and (2) whether it is readily available (I looked for it once at a large grocery store, but couldn't find it) Thanks in advance.

The recipe calls for shortening, but I was wondering if I could use 1/2 of crisco (for shape) and 1/2 butter (for flavor)... Or will this ruin the cookie?

I was watching the Food Network last night and there was a company called Sugardaddy's Sumptuous Sweeties that made a Tahitian Blondie.

I got all the ingredients and I remember the order to do it in but I don't know the measurements or the cooking temperature.

Does anyone happen to know?

Thanks

Can you bake sugar cookies without having to roll them and cut them in different shapes? Will just plopping them on the cookie sheet work just as good?
