OK, so I put eggs on to boil for egg salad, and then I completely forgot I put them on, and they boiled for like half an hour! Will they still be edible? There was still plenty of water in the pot.

Yes they will be fine. I use to boil my eggs for a half an hour every time I made them, until someone told me I only had to boil them for 15 minutes.

They'll be just fine, don't freak out........I've left them in while I was yakking on the phone and the eggs came out fine......especially since you're making egg salad, the other ingredients will mask any doubts you have about the quality of the eggs......If you'd like a recipe for a killer egg salad, email me at my 360 profile page......It's a curried egg salad, and I usually do it as deviled eggs, but have adapted the recipe to egg salad (to be stuffed into whole wheat pita bread halves)

No worry, the eggs will just be dry a little, but you can crumble it for egg salad. Actually drier the better, its still edible.,

Yes, they are edible, they may a little rubbery, but if using them for egg salad you should not be able to notice it.

They will be edible but dry and the yolks will have turned a greenish/gray to the amount of heat exposure.

Yes. However, there will be a green color on the surface of the yolks but that should not be very noticable. Just shock them in ice water and they should be fine.

yes..they should be fine...some people boil thier eggs for 20 min., so 30 shouldn't hurt them.
