yeah, I'm not good w/ cooking. At all.

can you grease a pan that is very hot? Or is the butter just burning?? Whenever I try, the butter sizzles out and smokes up so i just wait for the pan to cool.

I received a couple of logs of summer sausage as Christmas gifts.I love it with cheese and cracker but you can only eat so much of that. I know it freezes well too.But does anyone know how it can be used in recipes maybe for a main dish or something?These logs are the 3 pound size so I have a lot of it.I was just looking for some way to use it besides crackers or putting it in the freezer. Any ideas? thanks

They would be cheese stuffed shells and possibly some spinach stuffed shells.... My aunt and uncle would be attending and they usually go the meat and potato route....

I'm trying to explain how to make a shredded chicken sandwich to my girlfriend, who is an excellent chef. She's never had one nor heard of the type of sandwich I'm talking about. I'm wondering if it might be regional because I'm from Ohio and she's from Michigan.

Anyway, I remember eating shredded chicken sandwiches as a kid. I think you use cream of chicken soup or something. I'm not very skilled in the kitchen. I just know that I loved these sandwiches.

So, does anyone know how to make a shredded chicken sandwich? If so, tell me I'm not crazy for thinking it has creamed soup in the recipe because the shredded chicken was always creamy and delicious.

Note: This is not a shredded BBQ chicken sandwich. I've had those, too and so has she. They are great!

I froze 5lb tubes of hamburger all at once, forgetting to cut them into 1lb pkgs, is it safe to thaw the meat in the refrigerator just enough to cut and then refreeze? Thanks!

I turned my oven on yesterday to bake some bread and after 10 minutes realised the bread was not cooked!?? The fan is still going as normal but it is just blowing cold air. Has this happened to anyone? and isthere any way to fix it? I don't know if there is some sort of thermostat or fuse thats

I've always made pie crusts with Crisco and they are fabulous. In Greece however, findng Crisco is like finding a needle in a haystack. I've tried using margerine or butter but the pastry always turns out a bit hard and not crumbly like with Crisco. Anyone have any solution?

It seems like one of our family recipes has vanished from our family and I want to try to reconstruct it.

Our recipe had apple sauce, dates, nuts and the candied type mixed fruit (not dried in the sense like raisins but more like sticky some what wet-like that came in a jar or package).

Do you have any recipes that answer this description? I'd like it. Thanks!

got any good freeze ahead recipes? need some for the hubby to just pop in the oven or microwave(which would be best) when i work late before he goes off to work third shift.
nothing too extravagant, but individual servings of soups that freeze well or casseroles something like that. thanks!

I am sort of a conniseur in TRAINING. I don't know if I can put the PB in the oven, or what temp. (I would guess very low) and for how long. I would also not mind a couple suggestions of ingredients, so far I have chex, PB, pretzel, nuts. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!
