Panini maker for Christmas? (if you didn't have one)

Not if it was ONLY a panini maker. I really don't like "one trick wonders". If it were a multitasker - like say a griddle, contact grill, open grill, panini maker with removable, dishwasher safe plates - then yes. But a bulky piece of cookware that serves only one purpose - no - really how often is one going to make a pressed sandwich?

I would be happy receiving anything for Christmas. I have a Panini maker that I've used about twice in two years, but I'm still glad it was given to me because it was given out of love.

Sure I guess I would and I thought for a sec that you meant just a panini

yes, of course. Even if I only used it once in awhile, it would be here when I wanted it. On x-mas eve I opened my professional fryer that my son got me LAST X-MAS. But I was still happy when I got it last year, and even happier when I opened it and finally used it. This year he got me a tart pan ..... and I am happy for that too. I love to get kitchen "stuff" for gifts. If you don't want the panini maker ..... send it to me.

My boyfriend is a huge sandwhich eater, so he'd that for christmas. That way he can make hot turkey and hot ham sandwhiches any time of day without having to turn on the stove!!!!

That's a really great gift idea of the sandwhich lover in your life. Not to mention that you can do more than just sandwhiche's in them, you can make desserts too.

: )

It would be okay, but I rarely make them, so I would not use it that much.
