Strata's are great to put together the evening before so that the custard thoroughly, covered and refrigerated overnight and then baked in the morning........
Fritattas are great to empty out the fridge of any leftovers that are still good and will go into an egg dish.......Now the only question is to do the fritatta stove top or the Italian way, in the oven......I was flipping though the Food Channel last night and saw Giada make a fritatta with orzo, ricotta, creme fraiche, and a deboned rotisserie chicken with scallions.......It looked quite delicious.......Hope you and yours have a great 08, Steve!!!

I've never had strata, so I would have to go for fritatta. Unless you're cooking. Have you noticed how many people look at your picture and want you to cook for them? I can't compare these dishes, just wanted to get in on the fun. Happy New Year

Steve:
Would a strata have more layers as opposed to a fritatta being more omelette style?
