I cook a lot, but I have never been able to cook rice that doesn't stick. I like long grain rice, and have done it a few ways, boil the water first, add rice to cold water, everything. Someone tell me a fool proof way, and get your ten points after I try it.

Ok so I am cooking breakfast for the basketball and football coaches at work. I used to have this amazing breakfast casserole recipe made with bisquick and cheese and sausage and eggs and onions and mushrooms.. Everything I have seen has potatoes in it and that isn't the one I need. Does anyone have the recipe I need?? I'll take other bisquick recipes if anyone wants to share but I really really need this one.

Is there a low fat way to fry veggies?

When I cook shrimp I fry it in lemon juice. Lemon Juice has no fat, and little calories so it isn't really doing much to the shrimp..and it adds flavoring.

Is there a similar substance I could use for veggies??

Thanks in advance

When eating out I also get mushrooms in gravy and pour it on. I get ranch dressing on my side salad and I finish with a twice baked potato fully stuffed with bacon bits and sour cream.
And don't forget the raspberry tea, iced cold.

I'm thinking the problem might be that I use skinless/boneless chicken breasts, but I don't know. It comes out about as juicy as a cracker. Any advice from the bbq experts out there?

The recipe says that I should chop up an onion and place it in cold water for at least 30 minutes. What's the purpose of doing that?

I've never liked most fish, and I'm usually a vegetarian. I just really need more Omega-3 fat and protein in my diet, hence the recently purchased canned salmon. However, the thought of eating it grosses me out a bit, and I know it can be good, but I've only prepared vegetarian dishes, so I don't know how to make it good. Can it go in sandwiches like tuna? Please help me with some suggestions for simple ways to prepare the salmon so that it tastes good! Thanks for your help!!!!

I'm making a beef strip/fresh spinach stirfry for dinner and just cannot come up with what to serve with it. It has a soy/ginger sauce with water chestnut slices. We've had rice two or three times in the last week and I'd like to prepare something else.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I'm making chokecherry jelly from scratch but I don't have a cheesecloth to strain the juice from the berries. Can I use a metal strainer that I can just pour the berries through (after cooking them and releasing the juice of course)?

I love to cook Italian, Asian, and various other European style dishes. As a chef, how can I help make the experience for the eater to be "less gassy?" I love my cooking, but I still tend to get too much gas from my dishes. What tips are there in reducing flatulation in nicely prepared dishes?

What causes flatulation in diet and how can I prevent this????
