I've never liked most fish, and I'm usually a vegetarian. I just really need more Omega-3 fat and protein in my diet, hence the recently purchased canned salmon. However, the thought of eating it grosses me out a bit, and I know it can be good, but I've only prepared vegetarian dishes, so I don't know how to make it good. Can it go in sandwiches like tuna? Please help me with some suggestions for simple ways to prepare the salmon so that it tastes good! Thanks for your help!!!!

Use it for cat food and buy yourself some fresh wild salmon.
It's good baked in a sauce of your choice.

mix some bread or cracker crumbs, some chopped onion, celery, an egg to hold it all together, with the salmon. Add salt/pepper or other spice you like. Form into patties and fry lightly in Spam until browned on both sides. Eat plain or on a bun like a burger.

Yes, you can put it in sandwiches. Alternatively, put it in some freshly made savoury pancakes. Just put some onion and garlic in a pan, add oil, add your salmon and alittle bit of cream in the end. It is really tasty.

Why not take some cod liver oil capsules instead, if you think you will really dislike the taste.

Salmon Quiche or Salmon Loaf. My mother used to make a great salmon loaf, and I've made a good salmon quiche.

My mother used to make a killer salmon loaf. Like meatloaf, but with the salmon. It had cream of celery soup, flaked onion, bread crumbs, and egg. I still love it to this day.

croquettes make them. It's easy and very good and in fact I don't eat seafood ever, but long ago my mum made them and I ate them. This is the basic recipe but modify to what you like with salmon.

1 can red salmon
1 c. cold mashed potatoes
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 egg

Make into patties and fry in oil until browned, drain and enjoy.

you can make it into scrambled eggs (just the eggwhites even, if you prefer them that way.) you can top in on your salad like in tuna salad. you can put it in your pasta with white sauce.
