Has anyone had the grilled Asparagus at Applebees? I was wondering what they put on it to give it that flavor? Or does anyone have any other good, simple grilled asparagus recipes?

I am making cookies, but noticed that there is 2 sticks of butter(!!!) in the recipe. Is there anything I can use in place of it? I know that I can substitute applesauce in place of oil in cake, but what about butter????

My cooking skills consist of making hamburger helper. lol I might not be able to fry a pork chop, or bake a chicken, but I can make every type of hamburger helper available in the grocery store. This is what I live off of. That and sandwiches and Ramen noodles. I have tried watching the food network but some of that stuff is too complicated for me. I just want to learn the basic stuff. I grew up never really having to cook because my Grandmother and mom always do but I have now moved away from home, am in another city, and on my own as far as cooking goes. I do try recipes out of cookbooks but none of what I make seems to taste quite right to me. Do any of you have any simple recipes? I am a very simple person when it comes to eating and not picky at all. My favorite dishes are with chicken and I am a pasta fanatic. Any easy recipes or tips on easy dishes are greatly appreciated. :-)

I'm a bit fed up of eating ready meals at work - we have a microwave, a kettle, a toaster and one of those sandwich press things. I'd love to cook some pasta, but as we haven't got a hob or saucepans, I can't see any way of doing it, as you can't get a rolling boil.

Has anyone successfully managed to cook dried pasta in a microwave and not get indigestion?

Hi there! I'm looking for a recipe for barbequed ribs. My old standard includes a good amount of paprika and brown sugar, and although it's really tasty, I'm looking to branch out a bit. I plan on grilling them instead of baking, just so you know.
Thanks!
